Bartholomew Barn a beautiful Barn Wedding Venue near Petworth, West Sussex.

A huge wood burner at one end of the main barn makes it equally suitable for winter wedding receptions.

In spring, the woods behind the barn are carpeted with bluebells and the pretty cottage gardens are full of colour.

Double doors lead from the barn onto a charming courtyard with a central, formal fishpond. With umbrellas providing shade in summer and patio heaters for warmth on cooler autumn days, the courtyard is perfect for a drinks reception.

In addition to the Main Barn, a smaller open-sided barn runs the length of the courtyard. Decorated with flowers or fairy lights it makes a lovely spot for a barbecue or hog roast.

From the moment we turned into the driveway and travelled down the long path, we tingled - Bartholomew Barn looked so beautiful. We were greeted by Frances, a wonderful woman who made us feel at ease right from the start. As we stood in the barn and heard a bit about how it came to be, we loved it and then we discovered there was more, a magnificent courtyard, perfect for a relaxed evening chat and drink around the pond. Re-visiting at night with all the fairy lights on and candles lit it was magical. Within minutes of seeing it our mind was made up!"
