This beautiful and historic Castle, begun in 1117, remains the private home of the Berkeley family, who gave their name to numerous locations all over the world, notably Berkeley Square in London. The Great Hall, where your reception would be held, has been used for feasting since the 12th Century and many English kings and queens have sat at the high table here over the years - what better recommendation for a venue!

In the summer the terraced gardens – planted for scent as well as for beauty, and with views over the rolling countryside of the Berkeley Estate– are available for reception drinks. Guests will have the freedom of the gardens and photographs can be taken here too.

In the winter months, the elegant Long Drawing Room is the perfect spot for drinks by a roaring fire.
The Castle is available throughout the year.
