Barn Wedding Venue in West Sussex
Upwaltham Barns is a beautiful Barn Wedding Venue between Chichester and Petworth in West Sussex. The barns are surrounded by the historic Goodwood House estate, the barns are set in one of the most beautiful areas
of the country - the South Downs.
The barns have been traditionally restored, using authentic materials, and are constantly being upgraded. Indeed underfloor heating has been added this year making the venue cosy and warm for winter weddings.
The South Barn can seat about 170 guests for dining. The beams can be decorated with foliage, flowers or fairy lights or look wonderful unadorned.
The East Barn can seat 100 guests for dining or may be used as a dramatic setting for a Civil Wedding. The huge glass doors, allow extensive views over the South Downs, and the limestone floor is light, bright and stylish yet, once again, in keeping with its rural nature.
The courtyard and colourful cottage gardens, with old-fashioned roses and herbaceous plants are perfect for pre-reception drinks.
A pretty, beamed cottage is available for overnight accommodation for the bride and groom. This is charmingly furnished in country style with a hint of Parisian chic! It includes a modern bathroom with freestanding, roll-top bath and twin basins. At the end of the night, the bride can toss her bouquet to the guests below from the pretty Juliet balcony!
This gorgeous wedding reception venue is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Partnership Ceremonies and the exquisite medieval church can be used for a Service of Blessing.

The "Banqueting Barn" looked absolutely scrumptious when all the tables were laid and the other big barn was perfect for the speeches and cake cutting. I shall always treasure the memory of three of the tiny bridesmaids bending down to stroke the dark red dahlias in the beautiful herbaceous border, wearing dresses of exactly the same colour. What a lovely backgrround for photographs.
