The 13th century family church is within walking distance, situated on a hill overlooking the house.

The setting for a marquee wedding is idyllic. Guests may wander round the gardens and along the banks of the Moat and the river. The house is a wonderful backdrop and is steeped in history. The bridge dates back to the 11th century.

The River Glem makes its way slowly behind the house through several walled gardens with listed summerhouses. Two ancient walnut trees, one the oldest, the other the tallest in Europe, stand magnificently in front of the house.
