For rural charm, the setting at Bassmead Manor Barns, near St. Neots, in Cambridgeshire, is hard to beat. Following stunning renovations and new additions in Spring 2014, the moated Barns now provide couples with a stylish and unique wedding venue, including beautiful barns, pretty gardens, superb catering, as well as a Bridal Boudoir and onsite accommodation.
The rustic and romantic Rickety Barn is the perfect place to hold your civil ceremony. The traditional timber barn seats up to 150 guests and has a warm, romantic atmosphere. With its 300 year old history, it’s full natural charm and character, and makes a beautiful backdrop for your nuptials.
The restored Moat Barn boasts a sophisticated new reception area, and has a real contemporary feel, with a plush new bar and lounge area. The Barn is full of natural light with views out onto the Courtyard and Bridal Garden - where you may wish to enjoy your drinks and canapés in the glorious sunshine. The outdoor space is also perfect for those photo opportunities to capture all your precious memories.
The superb new dining barn, Bridge Barn, boasts similarly beautiful views onto the gardens, and medieval moat. The Barn has been carefully designed to incorporate both contemporary and traditional features as well as a neutral colour scheme to ensure it fits perfectly with your wedding day theme, no matter what you have in mind. Up to 150 guests can be seated for dining, and the Barn can hold up to 200 guests for your evening reception.
Dove Cottage sits within the Bridal Gardens, tucked away with views across the Cambridgeshire countryside. Its luxurious grey and aubergine colour scheme, private patio, impressive bathroom, and idyllic bedroom make it a delight to stay in.
Optional guest accommodation is also available at Appletree cottage, a beautifully restored farmhouse just a short walk away from the Barns. With its seven double en-suite bedrooms, comfortable breakfast room, and lounge, it’s the perfect base to bring families together to celebrate your day.
