Middleweight Front-Backend Developer

Are you a talented and skilled front-end developer with a passion for web applications, email and design? We are currently looking for a Middleweight Developer with excellent front and backend skills to join our in-house marketing department at Country House Wedding Venues. Working alongside a senior developer and closely with a team of creatives, this is a great opportunity to join and grow within an expanding team.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

• 3 + years` experience in front and backend web development building mobile-first responsive websites
• Front end technologies HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Bootstrap and jQuery Javascript Frame works
• Coding in PHP with MySQL databases
• Tabular build for responsive email build
• Understanding of hybrid coding enabling responsive email on mobile devices for both Android and iPhone
• Email litmus testing of build for cross browser compatibility
• Backend server maintenance and database setup
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress development and maintenance
• Knowledge of SEO principles would be good too
• Content administration to websites as and when required

Email Marketing Executive

We are looking to recruit an email marketing executive who will be responsible for the production and execution of email campaigns. The overriding purpose of the role is to create, develop and own a multi-channel communications strategy, predominantly including email at this time, from end to end, driving new and returning traffic to the CHWV and venue websites.

Success in this role relies upon you being able to reach users through a variety of communication channels and inform them about new and existing venues, offers and events as well as providing a distribution channel for our content marketing.

You will work closely with the Content and Design teams as well as our email service provider, Dotmailer.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively manage the entire email production cycle from beginning to end i.e. briefing, proofing, design amends, link testing, creating tracking codes, and overall approval of broadcast ready campaigns
• Liaise with key departments including IT, content marketing and design
• Analyse and report on email KPI’s
• Optimise email campaigns with dynamic content, customer segmentation and automation
• A/B test email campaigns to continually improve the email performance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest email advances and constantly strive to improve email performance

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experienced with email content, design, building and deployment
• Experienced in using web analytical packages
• Able to manage priorities, multi-task and manage workload
• Excellent attention to detail and proof reading ability as well as understanding of brand
• Proficient in Excel
• A good team player
• Customer-centric
• Great interpersonal skills for internal and external clients
• Educated to a degree or equivalent preferably in a related subject
• Minimum 1 year work experience in CRM
• Understanding of opportunities and restrictions within email design and HTML

Salary is negotiable depending on current skills and experience. We would want this salary to grow over time as we want the successful applicant’s role to grow with the business growth. There will be occasional venue visits required so a full driving licence would be required.

IT Support Technician

A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic IT professional to join a small IT team and take responsibility for making sure our office and venue teams keep working effectively, by managing the networks and hardware in use and by providing fast and friendly help and support to all the team.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their own skills and knowledge, and will be working with the Head of IT to continue to develop and enhance the systems as the business grows.

Essential skills:

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Storage and Desktop related hardware
• TCP/IP technology experience
• Windows Server 2012, Windows 7,8, 10 & Mac
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A problem-solver and can prioritise to meet the business needs
• Can work autonomously and take responsibility for tasks

Knowledge of some of the following would be preferred:

• Microsoft Office 365 including Sharepoint & Skype for Business
• Firewall Management
• VOIP Phone Systems
• MS SQL
• MS Dynamics CRM
• Website administration

Main responsibilities:

• Providing support on hardware and software applications to the office and venue teams to agreed SLA’s
• Manage the internal network and servers ensuring services are maintained and available, including AD, print, storage, back-ups, patch management
• Work with Third Party partners, eg, hosting, telephony, broadband, hardware, etc.
• Support the continued development of software and reporting solutions
• Remote week-end cover for the sales teams on a rota, this would be paid as overtime.

Salary would be in the range £21,000 to £25,000 but is negotiable depending on current skills and experience. We would want this salary to grow over time as we want the successful applicant’s role to grow with the business growth. There will be occasional venue visits required so a full driving licence would be required.
