We do love a barn wedding venue here at CHWV and autumn is a wonderful time of year for these stunning rustic settings to shine. We’ve managed to narrow our list down to 17, but there are plenty more beautiful barns for you to see. We just couldn’t fit them all in!

1. Mythe Barn – Leicestershire

This breathtaking barn venue is an exquisite combination of traditional and modern features, boasting an unforgettable ceremony room, light-filled reception area, all surrounded by picturesque gardens and countryside. It’s truly a rural delight.

2. Curradine Barns – Worcestershire

Curradine has so much to offer couples that we could be here all day listing them! Instead, we’ll just highlight the exquisite and atmospheric ceremony barn and the idyllic courtyard that’s perfect in autumn when lit with lanterns and fairy lights.

3. Sandhole Oak Barn – Cheshire

This wonderful Cheshire barn venue provides a contemporary rustic setting and a stunning lakeside location that just can’t be beaten. It comes to life in the Autumn months too when the edges of the lake and the impressive Clock Tower are beautifully lit up.

4. The Barn at Bury Court – Surrey

The spectacular Barn at Bury Court is a delightfully rustic wedding venue, and the exposed timbers and brick walls look beautiful with autumnal decorations. Seasonal flowers and foliage combined with candles and fairy lights provide that relaxed and cosy feel on your wedding day.

5. Clock Barn – Hampshire

The historic thatched clock tower is just the tip of the iceberg at this stunning venue, which boasts an incredible and versatile barn space that’s both traditional and rustic. With the barn’s picturesque rural setting, you’ll love that feeling of seclusion and tranquillity too.

6. Bassmead Manor Barns – Cambridgeshire

The 300-year-old Rickety Barn offers a unique place to tie the knot that’s full of charm and character. And if that provides ‘something old’ for couples, then the contemporary and stylish Bridge Barn is the perfect ‘something new’ for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. The changing colours of the garden and surrounding trees create the ideal Autumn backdrop too.

7. Pentney Abbey – Norfolk

The imposing Gatehouse isn’t the only draw at Pentney Abbey, as the impressive Medieval Barn proves. The large glass doors open out onto the lawn so guests can enjoy any warmer autumn days, while the traditional interior is warm and cosy, especially when filled with candles.

8. Oxnead Hall – Norfolk

The Great Barn at this remarkable venue in Norfolk is an incredible space to enjoy on your wedding day. The characterful setting with its adjoining courtyard is ideal all year round, although the underfloor heating makes it even more appealing on those colder autumn days and nights!

9. Upwaltham Barns – West Sussex

Upwaltham Barns offers that special blend of country charm and luxury to make the ideal relaxed and rustic wedding venue. It’s rural setting and picturesque garden and views mean that a natural, boho-themed celebration suits the venue perfectly, while its southerly location means the chance of mild weather in autumn is still good!

10. Bartholomew Barn – West Sussex

This traditional brick and timber barn in the rolling West Sussex countryside is a real hidden gem. The courtyard is delightful on those warmer days while the huge wood burner makes the barn extra cosy during the colder months.

11. Manor Mews – Norfolk

For that rustic chic, couples don’t need to look any further than Manor Mews. The Great Barn stands tall and looks resplendent, with its white panels, exposed brick and fairy-light-entwined beams creating a beautiful spot to tie the knot and dance the night away.

12. Cripps Barn – Gloucestershire

This magical barn sits in the heart of the Cotswolds and is perfect for a relaxed wedding day. With high ceilings, a flagstone floor and traditional wooden doors, it’s an authentic and quaint setting to exchange vows, while the huge open fire and candles scattered through the venue make it really special in the autumn months.

13. Dodford Manor – Northamptonshire

Not one but two spectacular barns this time! Tie the knot in the ironstone Mortain Barn, complete with minstrel gallery, before celebrating in style in the Oak Barn, a contemporary barn made in a traditional style. The barn buildings encircle a wonderful lawn and terrace where you can make the most of the Indian summer.

14. South Farm – Cambridgeshire

Providing everything that’s quintessentially English, South Farm offers a stunning elm-framed Tudor Barn for couples to make their own. It’s light and airy, with an elm frame, white walls, and a traditional vaulted ceiling with soft drapes. It’s perfect all year round, just like the spectacular garden!

15. The Tythe Barn – Oxfordshire

This impressive thatched barn dates back to the 14th Century and is a truly breathtaking wedding venue in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. It’s wonderfully rustic, inside and out, and provides a relaxing and cosy place to enjoy your day.

16. The Ashes – Staffordshire

The Ashes is made up of a collection of lovingly restored barns, set in the rural Staffordshire Moorlands. With imposing exteriors and a contemporary rustic décor, the venue is an exquisite blend of old and new and provides an unforgettable location for your big day.

17. Shustoke Farm Barns – Warwickshire

This barn venue has the wow factor! From the traditional 18th Century exposed brickwork to the stunning glass and timber doorway, Shustoke is full of striking features. Guests can enjoy the Mediterranean-inspired courtyard in Autumn too by taking advantage of the fire pits that are dotted about.
