  • An exceptionally beautiful venue
  • Delightful grounds and a magical labyrinth

All about Tofte Manor

Renowned for its amazing gardens and external space, Tofte Manor is an exceptionally beautiful venue that boasts a lovingly restored 17th Century manor house, delightful grounds and a magical labyrinth.

Located within the Manor House, the Drawing Room and Dining Room are elegant spaces full of grandeur and period touches. Wood panelling, cornicing and dramatic chandeliers create a regal look and real fires ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere. Ideal for dancing and nostalgic videos, the Crystal Room is equipped with a state-of-the-art music system, overhead projector and screen.

By contrast, the Sanctuary is a fabulous hideaway nestled in the grounds and surrounded by nature. It is an unusual octagonal room housing a collection of crystals and geometric stars that hang delicately from the ceiling.

The labyrinth at Tofte Manor is a true source of inspiration and peace. Positioned in a secluded part of the garden, it is an enchanting and unusual option for a magical blessing. A symbol of the union of marriage, the intertwining of opposites, male and female, in their quest for love, harmony and balance, the labyrinth copies the design of the ancient pattern of the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral in France, but with a unique twist – it incorporates all of the elements in its design; earth; air; fire and water. Pure, vital and delicious, the water that runs through the labyrinth pathway can be drunk and is served to refresh and revitalise wedding guests. Vows in the labyrinth are created by the wedding couple themselves and blessed by an inter-faith minister.

Five acres of beautiful landscaped gardens surround Tofte Manor and provide a wonderful backdrop the wedding celebration and hundreds of different options to capture the big day in memorable photographs. Soft herbaceous borders crammed with colour, shape and forms are held by formal box hedging. Steps lead down to a sunken garden and stunning crystal ball water feature and unusual rope swings hide among stately trees. Hidden nooks, secret places, rose arbours, statuettes and ancient trees and planting schemes fill the senses. Magnificent lawns sweep off into the fields in the distance.

Fabulous overnight accommodation is also provided in the Manor House and Stables Courtyard. Sympathetically and lovingly restored, they boast interesting architecture, exquisite antiques and harmonious interior design. The luxurious bedrooms are individual in character and bespoke contemporary style.

An amazing and unique venue with integral charm and enduring appeal, Tofte Manor is a magical setting for a wedding ceremony or blessing, seamlessly blending the best of the indoors and great outdoors to fabulous effect.
