Braxted Park

Situated in a secluded spot in Essex, surrounded by rolling green countryside, Braxted Park is a beautiful Georgian manor house.

  • Acres of glorious grounds
  • Queen Anne country residence
  • Long sweeping driveway
  • A romantic Honeymoon Cottage

With its superb setting in the heart of Essex, and with acres of glorious grounds, Braxted Park is one of the UK’s popular and picturesque country house wedding venues.

Magical and memorable, Braxted Park is the perfect wedding venue; from its architectural heritage and collection of magnificent reception rooms, to the estate’s Parish Church, inspiring landscape and the Honeymoon Cottage, it is an enchanting and elegant venue.

Standing proudly in acres of unique parkland is the striking and sprawling Queen Anne country residence. Red brick, sash windows and a solid wood front door framed by stone pillar posts, the Georgian house is imposing and grand, reached by a long sweeping driveway.

Couples can choose one of the reception rooms within the house for the civil ceremony, the impressive Orangery, with its arched windows and Roman-inspired wall murals, or in the Lower Walled Knott Garden, which benefits from a stylish and contemporary summer house structure. Within the estate grounds is a Parish Church, All Saints Great Braxted. Quaint, picturesque and nestled amongst mature trees, the stone church is charming and only a short walk from the house.

The Walled Garden at Braxted Park has been carefully restored to its former glory and provides an idyllic setting for a drinks reception. Alternatively, guests can sip champagne and enjoy delicious canapés in the Reception Hall in the house.

Located within the garden is The Pavilion which overlooks the semi-mature pleached hornbeam hedging, intricate planting and cascading water features. With its white silk drapes, fairy lights, white carpet and LED-lit dance floor, The Pavilion is a modern space that can be tailored to suit any wedding theme.

Completing this luxurious wedding venue is the romantic Honeymoon Cottage. This pretty red brick building boasts a cosy and comfortable bedroom finished with a fabulous bed and walnut furniture, as well as a small garden with bay trees and benches, allowing newlyweds the chance to escape and spend precious time together during the weekend. There are also 12 en suite bedrooms available for close family and friends, which are located in the former stables in a tranquil corner of the estate.
