With its oak beams, wood panelling and stunning cathedral windows, Cain Manor is a fabulous manor house wedding venue in Surrey with rustic charm, period features and cosy contemporary styling.
Located on the site of a 16th-century settlement, the venue is steeped in history. Fully restored to bring out its character, it is a unique combination of cosy and warm and contemporary and bright.
Vaulted beamed ceilings, original oak pillars and wrought iron chandeliers complement exposed wooden floors and large medieval windows to make the Music Room a magical place for the wedding ceremony.
Warmed by roaring fires on colder days, the adjoining Library and Drawing Room provide additional space for guests to mingle and take in the panoramic views over a drinks reception and are furnished in a country-style with traditional brown leather sofas, comfy plaid cushions and dark wooden furniture.
Cain Manor is a true hidden gem. Perched on the brow of a hill overlooking the sweeping North Downs, the manor house can be found at the end of a long private driveway that winds majestically for one mile through woodland before rising to meet the venue.
A picturesque backdrop to any celebration, the grounds are magnificent in both winter and summer with endless opportunities for magical wedding day photographs. In the summer months, it is possible to hold the ceremony under a romantic gazebo positioned next to the manor house and shaded by ancient oak trees and the garden walls. It can be followed by a canapé and drinks reception that allows guests to take in the views and enjoy the atmosphere of a true period manor house-style property.
Cain Manor has a luxurious Bridal Suite that can be used by the bride-to-be and her attendants for final preparation before the ceremony and then for the new bride and groom for their first night as husband and wife. The focal point of the room is a large wooden bedstead with plump pillows and crisp white cotton sheets which is accentuated by stripped wooden floors, ancient medieval windows and stylish modern touches such as large mirrors and an oversized roll top bath in the en suite.
A further 10 bedrooms are available for the wedding party enabling family and close friends to stay overnight and join the newlyweds for a lavish breakfast the following morning.
With its beautiful views, stately gardens and a cosy yet stylish interior, Cain Manor is a fine example of a restored Elizabethan property that will suit a couple looking for Surrey wedding venues with understated grandeur and a quintessentially English setting.
