Elegant, exquisite and standing proudly in 15 acres of grounds, Oxnead Hall is a unique Norfolk wedding venue. A grand country residence, this luxury venue is located in Oxnead and surrounded by stunning Norfolk landscape, while only being eight miles from Norwich. Close to the coast and the Broads National Park, Oxnead Hall presents plenty of picturesque photo opportunities.

History is at the heart of Oxnead Hall, which was the principal home of the great Norfolk family, the Pastons, between the 15th and 18th centuries. The present Hall comprises the service wings of the Great House. With its sweeping driveway, striking Tudor red brick and mullioned windows, the property exudes a unique atmosphere. Internally, the Hall boasts an opulent décor which perfectly suits the grandeur of the hall. From wood panelled walls, open fires and formal dining room to the magnificent oak four poster bed in the honeymoon suite, a wedding at Oxnead Hall offers brides, grooms and their guests the chance to live in real luxury.

Oxnead Hall is perfect for a destination wedding venue, providing an awe-inspiring location, exquisite gardens and incredible accommodation for you and your guests. What’s more, it’s only a couple of hours from London, although the idyllic views and scenic countryside feel like a world away from the capital. This remarkable setting recently picked up ‘Wedding Venue Of the Year’ at the Eastern Daily Press Wedding Awards 2017, providing further proof of just how special this stunning hall and barn really is.

While the hall itself and the stunning grounds are instantly appealing, perhaps what makes Oxnead Hall unique is the variety of spaces on offer. Couples can choose from the secluded St Michael’s Church for a traditional wedding ceremony or a number of civil wedding locations within the grounds. The Orangery is a delightfully sweet building that’s ideal for smaller ceremonies, comfortably seating 50 people. Its large windows let the light pour in and with views of the lake and ornamental parterre, it provides a picturesque and secluded location for you and your guests.

The Great Barn, bedecked with impressive timber beams and wooden floors, provides the ideal space to celebrate after your ceremony.  In summer, the adjacent courtyard is the perfect setting for drinks while the heated floor and twinkling ceiling lights make the setting cosy and inviting through the winter months.  With seating for up to 200 guests and great flexibility in regards to table options, The Great Barn is a large and versatile location for your special day.

Located next to The Great Barn is The Long Room.  The attractive exposed brick building, complete with large windows, is an atmospheric and light setting for a ceremony with seating for up to 140 guests.  The double doors open directly into the Fountain Courtyard creating a larger space for your guests to enjoy drinks in the sun.

The Gardens offer an idyllic backdrop for a civil ceremony.  Celebrate with your nearest and dearest on the banks of Oxnead Hall’s very own lake or the River Bure, or capture some special memories with your partner at some of the many wonderful features that are scattered throughout the Tudor garden.

The entire North Wing of the Hall will provide luxurious accommodation for your wedding party and will boast five double bedrooms and four bathrooms.  The North Wing also contains a grand dining room, spacious kitchen and a snug that all help to create a home away from home for your guests. In addition, there is the Courtyard Room that offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The estate also includes two luxury cottages; the Bothy and Garden Cottage, both of which offer a secluded location for your guests to stay.

With its collection of fabulous historic buildings in a delightfully British setting, Oxnead Hall has to be considered one of the UK’s most remarkable wedding venues.
