Getting married is all about romance, and the Cotswolds has it in spades. The gorgeous, towns and villages seem to have changed little for hundreds of years. There are fabulous mansions and churches built by the rich textile merchants, which make wonderful places to get married. There’s a wealth of contemporary living too, with a thriving cultural offering including galleries, festivals and museums. The Cotswolds includes 5 counties (Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire). And there are plenty of “wolds” or rolling hills. Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford are just some of the heritage cities in the Cotswolds, which are home to fantastic wedding venues. Each season has a different appeal for weddings. Winter weddings can enjoy roaring fires in cosy country venues. Spring sees lambs and wild daffodils covering the fields. Summer weddings are lush and green, while autumn weddings embrace a riot of colour.
