An imposing Georgian mansion house in the heart of Shropshire surrounded by 12 acres of stunning South facing gardens, Delbury Hall is a magical wedding setting.
The venue features a historical Clock Tower, refurbished Coach House with unusual mezzanine floor, Coach House Yard, Garden Pagoda and luxury overnight accommodation in The Stables.
Light and airy, the Coach House has been lovingly restored using a mix of traditional and modern materials and cutting edge design to create an exceptional location for a wedding ceremony and reception.
Set in a sunny courtyard with unrestricted views across the estate’s rolling gardens and ornamental lakes and fountains, the Coach House features cool white rendered walls with elements of exposed brickwork, a vaulted beamed ceiling and oversized decorated chandelier for grandeur. Large French door windows let in plenty of natural light and provide a fabulous vista, or backdrop for photographs, during the ceremony or reception.
Unusually, the room features a stunning mezzanine floor reached by a glass and oak staircase that opens onto an upper tier balcony with superb views over the ancient carp pool and its floodlit twinkling water feature.
The Coach House blends seamlessly with the traditional Coach Yard courtyard outside. With views over the lake to Ludlow, the Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge, the flagstoned Coach Yard is a real sun trap in the summer months and has a great atmosphere being festooned with pots of flowering geranium, fragrant lavender, sun umbrellas and wooden garden furniture.
Delbury’s Garden Pagoda is popular with couples getting married during the summer months. A quintessential oak garden pagoda, it nestles romantically in against the traditional stone walling and green foliage yet is raised up a few steps to allow guests to see the ceremony and bride and groom to take in the views. The Pagoda is fitted with a sound system and wireless mics to allow the playing of music.
The Coach House, Coach Yard, Garden Pagoda and grounds of the Delbury estate are picturesque and provide endless opportunities to capture the special moments of the day with unforgettable photography.
Finally, at the end of a perfect day, family and guests can retire to one of 10 guests bedrooms under the historic Clock Tower and the bride and groom can relax resplendent in the stunning bridal suite with its large double bed, half canopy, luxury en suite and fantastic views across the gardens, trout lakes and surrounding countryside to Ludlow and beyond.
Delbury Hall is an amazing wedding venue with so much to offer the bride and groom looking for understated grandeur in a classic English countyside setting.
