All about Iscoyd Park

Iscoyd Park is a stunning Grade II listed red brick Georgian mansion house set in idyllic 18th Century private parkland and surrounded by perfectly manicured lawns and well tended gardens.

Restored to award winning acclaim, the house retains the warmth, history and character of a family home and has a magical and very special atmosphere. Perfect for a civil ceremony, yet with a church located close by for those wishing to have a religious blessing, Iscoyd blends the traditional with the contemporary to fabulous effect.

Couples can choose from two special locations for their civil ceremony: the Garden Room or the Drawing Room. Utterly romantic, the Garden Room is minimal and elegant. With its long aisle, series of arches and Portland stone floor, it is almost church-like with light flooding in through huge windows that look out onto the idyllic gardens beyond. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, and, apart from the stunning chandeliers there is little decoration in this room, allowing couples to personalise it with their own touches.

The Drawing Room has a different feel. A smaller and more intimate space, it is full of character and history. Old family portraits and classical paintings adorn the walls, and the chandeliers, marble fireplace and beautiful wooden floors give this room a romantic elegance that provides a more traditional country house atmosphere. Large Georgian windows give fantastic views across the gardens and park and lift the room with light.

For those looking for a church service, St Mary’s Church, Whitewell is close by. A picturesque whitewashed traditional parish church, it is located in stunning countryside on the edge of the estate and just a five minute drive from Iscoyd.

The wedding breakfast will take place in the Permanent Marquee, connected directly to the house and reached via the enchanting Garden Room. Crystal chandeliers, LED back lighting, fairy lights and filtered uplighters give a romantic, warm and spectacular atmosphere and, in summer, the sides can be opened to provide even greater connection to the gardens and lovely views.

Alternatively, the Drawing Room, interconnecting Little Drawing Room and Main Hall provide additional options for the wedding feast and post ceremony drinks and canapé receptions. These rooms form the heart and soul of the house. Beautiful classical paintings and family portraits, antique furniture and china give these rooms both a historical and homely feel. Like all the rooms at Iscoyd, huge windows let light pour in and connect the interior with the gardens outside. They are warm and cosy with roaring fires, candles, chandeliers and wooden floors.

And there’s no shortage of idyllic spots for wedding photographs on the Iscoyd estate. Offering a wonderful variation of formal gardens, wilder areas, stunning rose and lavender gardens, herbaceous borders and hedging, the gardens are lovely places for the newlyweds to wander romantically.

And when a wonderful day draws to a close, Iscoyd Park offers boutique overnight accommodation for a number of guests, along with a fabulous Bridal Suite which is calm, uplifting and offers picture-perfect views across the gardens. Iscoyd Park is a truly remarkable property and a hidden gem in Shropshire.
