Full of grandeur and with a wonderful heritage, Frensham Heights is a beautiful building that stands proud in stunning Surrey landscape. Elegant, confortable and welcoming, Frensham Heights is one of the country’s best country house wedding venues.

Steeped in history, Frensham Heights is a charming country residence; it is renowned for its magnificent reception rooms, its outstanding grounds and its fine dining experience.

On arrival, guests will be impressed by the inspiring striking red brick building with distinctive gothic windows. The sprawling property, which was built in 1898, boasts three fabulous reception rooms that are licenced for marriages; The Edwardian ballroom complete with Minstrel’s Gallery, a delightful Drawing Room and a Jacobean Hall with baronial fireplace.

The Ballroom forms the heart of the home and has been decorated in Louis XVI style. Its coved ceiling with intricate decorative detail, ornamental frieze, fireplace and Corinthian columns offer the perfect backdrop for your reception. It also enjoys an orchestral gallery and balcony which are perfect for musicians, and with a stunning window feature at one end of the room, guests can enjoy excellent views across the property’s terrace and beyond to the sweeping backdrop of the Surrey Hills.

The Drawing Room is a relaxing and comfortable room, decorated in classic pale blue mixed with cream and gold creating a regal feel. The beautiful bay window is a fabulous feature, while the two fireplaces ensure the space is always cosy. It is ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies, and with a grand piano, armchairs, chaise lounges and foot stools, can even be used by guests as a quiet room to recharge batteries during the day and night.

The Jacobean Hall is exquisite; an enchanting and magical room. The room is dominated by the two storey high stained glass window, followed by the Gothic style chimney-piece of Bath stone and white veined marble, crowned by a coat of arms in carved oak. When lit, the fire quickly becomes a focal point, providing both warmth and atmosphere, and on a hot summer’s day, it lends itself to handsome flower arrangements and becomes a lovely backdrop for photographs.

While the heritage of Frensham Heights is evident, its grounds are superb. There are 120 acres of mature gardens surrounding the Tudor-style mansion, including a walled garden, which can host civil ceremonies under the pavilion, a tree house for a more contemporary ceremony, sweeping terraces for sipping champagne and an array of mature trees, plants and floral displays, making the grounds magical all year round.

With a team of talented and passionate chefs at Frensham Heights, couples can create menus tailored to their particular tastes, guaranteed to include fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
