All about Goodwood

With its beautiful setting at the foothills of the South Downs National Park, and with 12,000 acres of stunning parkland, the Goodwood Estate is a luxurious and highly desirable wedding venue in West Sussex. Dating back to the 18th century, Goodwood caters for all types of wedding celebration in three distinct venues; Goodwood House, The Goodwood Hotel, and The Kennels; each equally stylish.

Goodwood House

For over 300 years, Goodwood House has played host to many spectacular celebrations and weddings. It is unlike any other wedding venue; from its meticulously restored State Apartments hung with priceless works of art to the care and attention of its butlers, Goodwood House is the epitome of British style.

Civil ceremonies take place in either the Yellow Drawing Room or the grand Regency Ballroom, both stunning spaces with ornate interior design. Drinks receptions can be hosted on the natural stone portico during the summer, allowing guests to make the most of the breathtaking views, or the adjoining Front Hall during winter which is an impressive space with a warm jewel coloured décor and two large open fires.

For a magical wedding breakfast, the Regency Ballroom is a must. From the rich red patterned wallpaper to the gold-rimmed doors and array of priceless works of art, this space is simply stunning. It also benefits from the adjoining Supper Room, ensuring plenty of space for guests to dance the night away or sit and mingle with family and friends.

The in-house catering team deliver the most exquisite banquets for 1500+ guests at the venue’s Flagship Events and this expertise is at your fingertips on the most important day of your life. Ingredients and menus are inspired by Goodwood Home Farm, one of the largest self-sustaining, organic farms in Europe. The result is delicious dishes that are full of flavour, beautifully presented and completely bespoke to your style and taste.

The Goodwood Hotel

Originally a coaching inn, The Goodwood Hotel is quintessentially English, with an abundance of charm and character. There are three reception rooms for the civil ceremony, including the Oaks Suite, the Lennox Room, and the Cedar Suite. For an al fresco drinks reception, the canopy on the Cedar Lawn makes for a secluded setting to sip Champagne, or during winter, the roaring log fires within the hotel create a cosy ambience for guests.

Filled with natural daylight with sophisticated interiors, the spacious Cedar Suite is wonderful for the wedding breakfast. With its own terrace, patio area and private bar and lounge, this lavish room works well for weddings of all sizes.

The Kennels

The Kennels is a gorgeous Grade II listed Georgian building. It is ideal for intimate weddings, with the book-lined walls of the Music Room or the elegant Library providing a chic spot to exchange vows. With a spectacular décor, fusing eclectic furnishings and artwork inspired by the Estate, set against historic architecture, The Kennels offers a distinctively different and chic backdrop for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
