Hello again, brides and grooms-to-be. It’s time for the next installment of ‘meet the team’ where, every fortnight, we share the Pinterest board of a different member of the CHWV team and sneak a peek at how they would style their dream wedding. Last time, Sharon’s fairytale princess wedding was a huge hit and now it’s the turn of our super Systems Manager, Claire D.
Claire’s wedding venue
I love the grandeur of country house wedding venues like Kirtlington Park. The venue has views from the terrace and grounds that stretch as far as the eye can see. I’d love to sip Champagne and celebrate with my guests against such a stunning backdrop on my wedding day.
Wedding theme inspiration
The style and elegance of the 1920s would be the inspiration for my wedding. The fashions of that decade were so glamorous and featured luxurious fabrics, beading, sequins and fabulous accessories – perfect for your wedding day when you want to feel like a million dollars.
Wedding outfits and accessories
My dress would be ornate and beaded lace teamed with a feather headpiece and sparkly Art Deco inspired heels. My groom would wear a three-piece suit with a pocket watch, just like Leonardo in The Great Gatsby.
Bridemaids and ushers
The bridemaids dresses would be teal and beaded flapper-style gowns with strings of pearls for the accessories. The ushers would wear dashing dinner suits similar to the groom.
Luckily, Kirtlington Park doesn’t need much decoration and is lovely as it is. However, I would have flowers with lots of greenery and perhaps a few peacock feathers dotted around.
Cake & stationery
For my wedding cake, I would choose a geometric style with gold detail and decorated with feathers. Art Deco-style table numbers, menus, and table plan would complete the 1920s look.
What else could I choose but a fabulous jazz band! I’d also like a decadent tower of Champagne saucers overflowing with bubbly and some casino tables for fun and games later.
Thanks Claire, Jay Gatsby would be right at home at this wedding! See the rest of Claire D’s Pinterest board. If you would like to visit Kirtlington Park, please call our friendly wedding team on 01252 413091 or email Isabel.
