Sharon's Fairytale Wedding Theme at Farnham Castle

Sharon, our kooky Team Leader, invites you to explore her dream wedding in all its fairytale glory!

Hello, brides and grooms-to be. We hope you enjoyed Tania’s emerald green wedding theme. Next in our ‘meet the team’ series is Sharon, our cute and kooky wedding venues Sales Manager. Sharon has been here at CHWV HQ for seven months and heads up our team of 10 wedding venue advisers and administrators.

About Sharon

I am a vegetarian and I present an online movie TV show in my spare time. I have had every colour hair you can name and have met the Queen. Well…she walked past me once in the Eisteddfod and I’m almost certain she nodded at me. True story.

Sharon’s wedding venue

I absolutely love Rowton Castle. The idea of being a princess for the day in my very own castle with my prince at my side would be a dream come true. I adore the beautiful traditional interiors, and the stunning Linden Belvedere that would make the perfect outdoor wedding location. The blend of the historical setting and modern elegance is hard to beat!

Wedding theme inspiration

I wanted to put together all the wedding dreams I had as a little girl - real vintage, sparkle and grandeur with a little fun thrown in.

Wedding outfits and accessories

My dress would be long, flowing and white with beautiful detail on the waist and skirt. My groom would be in a long, deep blue suit with a silver waistcoat.

Accessories-wise, I’d wear just the hint of sparkle with diamond earrings and, of course, my wedding band. My wedding shoes would definitely be Manolo Blahniks!! No accessories for my groom, just some dashing aftershave.

Bridemaids and ushers

I love the idea of a classic, neutral colour palette for my bridesmaids, such as silver or almost bleached pink. I would like the ushers’ outfits to match my groom, but have waistcoats and cravats in the same colour scheme as the bridesmaids’ outfits.

Wedding decorations

I’d go for lots of sparkle, vintage glamour and massive centrepieces!! The candelabras would be huge and silver with mirrors and diamonds (fake of course) scattered around. I’d choose several neutral shades for my flowers and have very simple bouquets tied with ribbon and roses jutting out of the table centrepieces. My stationery would be grand but individual with a special message inside each person’s invitation.

Cake

My cake would have to be something large and individual - a real showstopper!!

Entertainment

For my wedding reception, I’d love to have a Michael Bublé-style wedding singer and magicians to entertain everyone through the evening.
