Happy Easter! If you read yesterday’s post you’ll now have some great ideas from the experts on how to style your wedding venue, but what about your dress and bridal bouquet? Never fear, we have enlisted two wonderful experts to share their pearls of wisdom...

Dresses for an Easter wedding

Naomi Neoh’s exquisitely beautiful creations are as delicate and feminine as the first spring flowers. We thought who better to ask for advice on choosing a dress for an Easter themed wedding than Naomi herself; here are her top tips:

Wear a pretty cover up
"The weather is changeable at Easter so think about a lace shrug cover up over your wedding dress. I like the small ‘ditsy’ pattern laces for Easter as they remind me of spring blossom. The lace used in our dresses ‘Penelope’ and ‘Scarlett’ has this small pattern.

Add a hint of colour
Easter is all about those sugared almond colours – primrose yellow, cherry blossom pink, bluebell and fresh greens so choose a pale coloured dress (we have our beautiful ‘Maya’ dress, which has a blue undertone) or add a subtle coloured sash to a crisp ivory dress.

Include spring flowers
Always try to work seasonal flowers into your look – little paper-white flowers are super cute worked into a hairstyle with a veil and have a lovely fragrance. Consider working some zingy green into your colour scheme through your bridesmaid dresses or flowers."

Easter themed wedding flowers

For advice on flowers for an Easter themed wedding, we turned to Kerry at Tineke Floral Designs, recently voted the UK’s best wedding florist by The 2013 Wedding Industry Awards. Kerry has been passionate about flowers since the age of 11 and her love for the job is evident in her work and approach.

“Easter is a fabulous time for flowers, especially if you are looking for a natural, rustic spring-like theme. We suggest sticking with seasonal spring flowers, as they will be at their best quality and price. Imagine gorgeous scented Hyacinths, Tulips, Syringa, delicate Ranunculus bundled together. It’s also great to incorporate jasmine trails for added scent and movement.

Narcissi are also a fabulous flower; however, they can be poisonous to other flowers and can also irritate skin so use with caution!”
