The West Country is made up of Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall. This vast region boasts two National Parks and four World Heritage sites including Stonehenge. This rural region offers amazing wedding venues and outstanding scenery. However, there are wonderful cities too in the shape of Salisbury, Bath and Bristol and charming towns such as Cheltenham, Weymouth and Newquay. Here are just a few of our fabulous southwest wedding venues...
Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire is a glorious Norman fortress set in a 6,000 acre-estate that boasts a medieval deer park and a stretch of the River Severn. Berkeley is one of the March Castles (built to keep out the Welsh) and its charmingly uneven battlements, small towers, doors and windows of every shape and size make this one of the most outstanding examples of Medieval domestic architecture in Britain. Tie the knot in the Long Drawing Room, with carved gilt mirrors and beautiful mantlepiece, celebrate with drinks reception on the Gun Terrace before enjoying a banquet in the 14th century Great Hall.
