If you’re planning an East Midlands wedding, you’ve come to the right place. This region, which includes Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and most of Lincolnshire, has some lovely wedding venues. It also has great transport links in the shape of East Midlands Airport and two mainline railways with high-speed services to London.
Dodford Manor is a Grade II Georgian manor house with beautifully converted barns for weddings. You’ll soon be able to have your ceremony in the Mortain Barn, with unusual arrow slit windows, that will be licensed for ceremonies. There’s a fantastic oak framed barn with a glazed wall and views of open countryside for your wedding meal. At its entrance, the stone former Dairy is now a comfortable lounge and bar.
Tradition meets elegance at this fantastic barn wedding venue in Leicestershire. Mythe Barn is actually two barns in one joined by a stylish and contemporary bar area. The ceremony barn has a huge double height window and exposed beams that create a special atmosphere. Or, you can have your ceremony beneath the gazebo in the garden. The second barn is a light and spacious setting for your wedding reception with pretty chandeliers.
