Your Very Own Brazilian World Cup Wedding Experience

Just because England are on their way home, doesn’t mean we can’t stay and enjoy the heat and excitement of Brazil. In our minds, at least. Here are some creative ways to bring a little piece of Brazil into your wedding plans >>>

England may be out of the World Cup, but we’ve still got our eyes on Brazil. They have a saying there – “God is Brazilian.” And who can argue when this vibrant country has more than its fair share of natural wonders. Rainforests and red hot canyons meet vibrant metropolises and heavenly beaches - it’s little wonder Brazil has a lust for life.

Here are some ideas to inject a little Latin passion into your wedding plans:

Brazil-themed hen and stag-dos

If you’ve always fancied donning one of those awesome feather carnival headdresses, your hen do could be your golden opportunity. Shake it like a polaroid picture with your mates at a Samba dance hen party.

To say football is a passion in Brazil is something of an understatement. Brazilians live and breathe the sport, and it’s part of the national culture.

Stags can indulge their love of the great game and horsing around with a game of bubble football.

Get a Brazil beach body

Beach fashion in Rio is not for shrinking violets. The motto seems to be if you’ve got it, flaunt it. So, if you want to feel like the girl from Ipanema on your wedding day, how about a Brazilian wax and a bum facial? At least if you’re jetting off to a sunny beach escape on your honeymoon, you’ll be all set.

Bring on the carnival vibe

Brazil knows how to party, and you could bring some of that energy to your wedding reception with Brazilian carnival dancers.

Brazilian colour theme

Rich, vibrant colours are great for summer weddings. The Brazilian flag colours, (blue, yellow and green) are perhaps not the easiest colours to coordinate for a wedding. But if you like all things bright and beautiful, try a Brazil inspired colour scheme like this one.

This might be going too far…

Many brides and grooms reflect their love of football in their wedding plans; perhaps with football-themed table names or using team colours. This groom, however, may have gone that one step too far…
