1) You can combine the Hall’s splendour with the beautiful marquee on site
Struggling to choose between a venue with quintessentially English style with history and heritage, glorious grounds, a country house and a chic marquee? At Mount Amelia you don’t have to choose. The fabulous Norfolk wedding venue has it all, combining most modern bride-to-be’s needs all in one setting.
You can enjoy a ceremony for up to 50 within the luxurious Grade II listed Ingoldisthorpe Hall. Larger parties of up to 120 can tie the knot within the marquee, sat on the estate’s grounds. Once the formalities are over, your afternoon celebrations can take place outdoors and within the beautiful marquee, with views over the glorious surrounding landscape.
Come evening, you can return to the Hall to dance the night away. The basement rooms are the perfect location for your entertainment, dance floor and bar. There’s also a lounge area nearby for those guests who would like to relax in a more peaceful area.
2) There are awe-inspiring views all around
If you’ve got a soft spot for nature, the great outdoors and stunning coastal views, Mount Amelia’s location will be hard to beat. Set in a tranquil position, perched on the top of the coastal ridge in West Norfolk, the venue commands amazing views over the countryside and across the sea.
The grounds within the Mount Amelia estate are pretty special too. You’ll find 30 acres of stunning grounds to explore, surrounded by mature trees and the backdrop of Norfolk’s countryside. The setting is perfect for your big-day snaps, and has lots of lovely secret spots for the two of you to slip away to and enjoy some time alone.
3) It’s available to hire exclusively for a three-day wedding weekend
What sets Mount Amelia apart from the majority of wedding venues is its three-night exclusive use package. While it’s not a necessity to take advantage of this offer, it’s certainly a nice option to have available.
Your wedding weekend will include exclusive use of the Hall and the grounds for three days – from noon on Friday to 10am on Monday. You’ll be able to begin your celebrations with a rehearsal dinner, the night prior to your big day; spend your first day together as newlyweds wandering the grand country estate; and say goodbye to friends and family with a breakfast to remember on the Monday morning.
If a week in a beautiful country house sounds like your kind of honeymoon, there’s also the option to extend your three-night stay subject to availability.
4) The historic house mixes old and new for a truly stunning big-day backdrop
While the Hall was built in 1745, the interior is far from old and tired. With large sash windows across the property, light floods in upon every celebration that takes place inside the hall.
The luxurious home combines period features, like the large sash windows and traditional fireplaces, with light and airy modern décor for a truly stunning result.
5) There’s space for all your guests to stay on site
Whether your guests stay in the plush, chic surroundings of Ingoldisthorpe Hall or camp out within the estate’s 30 acres of land, they’ll certainly have a night to remember.
The Hall itself can sleep 15 of your guests. Each room in the home features pretty details including vintage style furniture, four-poster beds and a stylish neutral colour palette. There’s also space for a further 15 in the estate’s Ivy, Gardeners and Grooms cottages.
With plenty of space to camp on site, why have your guests stay at alternative accommodation? At just £15 per person, guests can stay within the estate’s grounds and wake up to Mount Amelia’s beautiful landscapes the following morning.
