The pretty Chippenham Park has so much to offer to today’s brides and grooms; it’s hard to find something not to love.
1. It has traditional, charming, English country house style
Like most places in the Cotswolds, Chippenham Park is full of true English country style. With an elegant interior and award winning gardens to explore, the venue offers up everything on your wedding wish list and much more. The impressive approach to the country house, up the long private driveway, sets the scene for a truly magnificent day ahead. In fact we’re pretty sure that you and your guests will be taken in by the venue’s beauty before you’ve even stepped through the front door.
2. There’s a gorgeous 13th century church just a short stroll away
If you’re dreaming of an English country wedding with a traditional religious ceremony, you’re in luck. The beautiful St Margaret’s Church is just a short walk away – saving your guests from having to travel too far between your ceremony and reception venue.
3. There’s a multitude of opportunities for your ceremony and drinks reception
There’s not one but five places in which you can tie the knot at Chippenham Park. The popular Summer House is the choice for outdoor lovers and seats up to 120. Sat on the edge of the lake, your nuptials will take place amongst the beautiful trees and flowers. Alternatively, there’s the outdoor Gazebo, which also seats up to 120 of your guests. If you’d prefer to exchange vows inside the beautiful country house, there’s the stylish Old Ballroom. Adorned with antique paintings and traditionally styled, it makes an excellent choice for your indoor ceremony. For smaller wedding parties, the 17th century Tharp Hall, with views over the rose terrace and park, can seat up to 75, while The Loggia is perfect for intimate ceremonies for up to 12.
Your drinks reception can take place in one of three locations, the Old Ballroom, Tharp Hall, or if the weather is fair you may wish to celebrate outdoors on the rose-lined terrace.
4. You’ll have views of the glorious lake as you and your guests dine
Your wedding reception will take place in Chippenham Park’s marquee, which sits at the edge of the pretty lake. There’s room for up to 200 guests to join you for your wedding breakfast and a further 50 for your evening party. The marquee has been cleverly positioned to give you and your guests stunning views across the park and lake. You’ll all be able to enjoy these picture perfect views while sipping on wine and indulging in the finest food.
5. They know how to throw a good party
Chippenham Park has its own DJ who has being playing fabulous sets at weddings for years. He will happily create a playlist on your behalf, or work together with you to incorporate your all-time favourite tunes. What’s more, your marquee can be transformed into the ultimate party venue at night with a star-lit dance floor and plenty of outdoor space for you and your guests to enjoy.
6. There’s a beautiful bridal suite, for use before and after your big day
The newly refurbished Bridal Suite is full of traditional charm and situated within the country house itself. You can use it to get ready in before your ceremony and stay overnight once the celebrations are over. It has an offset bath, double sink, tea and coffee making facilities and lovely décor. One of our favourite things about the Bridal Suite though is the gorgeous view out onto Chippenham Park. It’s certainly a sight you’ll want to wake up to together on your first morning as Mr and Mrs.
