1) It’s tucked away in unspoilt countryside
When it comes to location, Bignor Park is hard to beat. Your wedding in the 1,200-acre estate will feel like it’s in a peaceful and majestic world of its own, miles away from anywhere. The venue is tucked away at the foot of the unspoilt South Downs, within the National Park, guaranteeing enviable views for you and all your big-day guests.

2) It’s conveniently situated for couples in the South East and London
Even though the venue appears to be a million miles from anywhere, it’s actually within easy reach of London and the South East. Just a 90-minute drive away from city life in the big smoke, Bignor Park offers a welcome countryside retreat that oozes rural elegance, grace and grandeur.
3) The 19th century stately home is full of personality
Combine grandeur with rugged, quirky charm and you’ve got the unique style of Bignor Park. The venue mixes Greek and contemporary style features with traditional English Georgian architecture, giving you and your guests an experience you’ll never forget. The Stalls, one of the rooms in the 200 year old Stables, even features four original horse stalls, while the Tack Room and Stove Room come complete with a cosy wood fired stove.

4) You’ll tie the knot outdoors in the Greek Loggia
The beautiful outdoor setting of the Greek Loggia is situated within the formal gardens and there’s space for up to 150 guests to be seated at your civil ceremony. The two of you will tie the knot in the garden under the roofed, stone porch, surrounded by beautiful greenery. What’s more, there’s no extra charge for you to hold your ceremony at Bignor Park, it’s included in the venue hire price.

5) The picturesque landscape makes a beautiful backdrop for photographs
You’ll have the panoramic views of historic parkland and South Downs National Park all around you, perfect for those posed wedding portraits. The views from the Croquet Lawn in particular extend for miles, right to the Chanctonbury ring, which can be seen in the far distance. Of course, there are plenty of hot spots on the lawns themselves too, two of our favourites being the temple and calming Zen pond, which are great spots for your big-day photography.

6) No wedding at Bignor Park is ever the same
At Bignor, you’ll have the opportunity to create a wedding of your own design. While the backdrop may remain the same for all weddings, the rest is up to you – from your styling, to your wedding menu and your preferred suppliers. The team at the family-run venue make time to help you plan your wedding exactly how you’d like it – ensuring your wedding encompasses your personalities entirely.
There’s even the opportunity for a marquee or tipi reception for up to 250 guests on the vast lawns on site, meaning you can use the traditional reception area - The Stables - as a chill out area for the night.

7) It’s a totally exclusive wedding venue!
Bignor Park has availability for just ten weddings per year, so if you secure a date at the venue you’ll be one of the lucky few. There is also no more than one wedding per weekend, meaning you’ll have more than enough time to set up and take down your wedding décor should you wish to get involved.
On the day of your wedding you’ll have exclusive use of eleven acres of ground as well as the gorgeous Stables, which offer a charming suite of beautifully styled rooms.
