If you’re a regular reader of the blog you’ll know we have a thing for taking a sneak peak at celebrities’ upcoming nuptials. So when we found out Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney were about to tie the knot, we couldn’t resist putting together some weird and wonderful inspiration of our own.

Today our very own Wedding Office Manager, Sharon, is getting all creative, sharing her thoughts on how she’d plan the couple’s big-day. Be prepared for some seriously unique ideas and glam style…
With Lady Gaga’s loud style and unique personality, she needn’t source inspiration from anywhere else. Lady Gaga herself is more than enough inspiration. With her gothic style and daring but beautiful style decisions, she’ll certainly be planning a wedding that her guests would never forget. She has already announced that she’ll be sending her invites in a bio-hazard container that shouldn’t be opened, so we can expect a whole host of weird and wacky touches throughout her special day.
Considering her style and appreciation of all things grand, Hampshire’s Highclere Castle would be the ideal venue for her wedding party. Not only does it have stunning buildings and grounds – providing the perfect backdrop for jaw-dropping photographs ? the venue also provides lots of opportunity for the couple to decorate and style their day. What’s more, with Highclere Castle being the location for “Downton Abbey” there’s no doubt she’ll bring a new sense of unique glam to the Crawley family!

Beautiful, Dirty, Rich
Being a real style icon, Lady Gaga could get any designer to create her dream dress. In fact, she’s already announced that she’s chosen Versace to make her a black gown. There’s no doubt that her dream dress will combine quirky and stylish, making her overall look perfect for hundreds of magazine front covers. Taylor, on the other hand, would look great tailored in Edwardian style, with a black suit, super smart top hat and tails.

Of course, Lady Gaga’s look will be about so much more than just the dress. Obviously she is going to go all out with accessories and could either pick something dramatic to cover her face and hair, or opt for a unique wedding pin for her hair. Depending on the length of the dress, she may also wear lace gloves for that extra effect.
Likewise, her wedding shoes will be far from traditional. Think handmade, ‘wow’ shoes that are all about the detail.

We can’t forget her wedding flowers either. With a black dress, she could really do daring things with her bouquet. Feathers, brooches and handmade touches will all work together to make her arrangement that little bit extra special.

With Lady Gaga and Taylor leading the wedding party and proving their style icon status on the day, the rest of the wedding party will showcase a more subtle look, complementing the couple’s gothic style. Bridesmaids will be few and simple, carrying the theme of vintage glamour without upstaging the bride. If she elects for a Hollywood glam theme, the bridesmaids would look great in white or light gold.

Groomsmen will match Taylor’s Edwardian look with black suits and contrasting waistcoats and ties. For that extra edge, the groomsmen would look great teaming their attire with a cane, giving the wedding party that glam finishing touch.

Glitter & Grease
With gothic Holllywood glamour setting the overall tone and style of the day, you can expect a whole lot of stylish yet unique décor. Lady Gaga has already mentioned that the theme will be “Apocalyptic Nuclear Winter Wonderland in the Desert”, but she will most likely add a little sparkle to this and a breath-taking fusion of old vs. new.

The couple’s wedding cake will also play a pivotal part in their day and is likely to be the centrepiece of the event. Mixing Versace style with vintage glamour, the bigger the cake the better. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise us if it rivalled Queen Victoria’s 300lb cake!

Of course, the pop princess’ wedding day wouldn’t be complete without the best in entertainment. Apparently she has already asked Tony Bennett to perform – which would add the perfect finishing touch to her Hollywood-glam day. No doubt burlesque entertainers will surround him too as they dance across a diamond encrusted skull stage!
