You can have all this and more with a wedding here…
What sort of wedding venue is Mount Amelia?
Mount Amelia is Grade II listed country house perched on top of the coastal ridge in West Norfolk. With commanding views over the countryside and across the sea towards Lincolnshire, it’s an incredibly tranquil and beautiful setting for your wedding day.
What are the attractions of getting married at Mount Amelia?
As the venue sits within 30 acres of grounds, there is plenty to explore and lots of natural beauty to admire. You can hold your drinks reception within the grounds and slip away with your other half for some newlywed shots, with the backdrop of the stunning landscape.
Mount Amelia also offers exclusive use of the Hall and grounds and there are weekend rates available for those who’d like to hire the venue for three nights. Unlike most venues, which allow just one day of celebrations, at Mount Amelia you can celebrate over a whole weekend.
What capacity do you have for ceremonies and wedding receptions?
There’s the option of an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The Long Room and Yellow Room, within the Hall, are licensed for ceremonies with up to 50 guests.
Alternatively, you can choose to tie the knot in a marquee outdoors on our vast lawns. These can accommodate up to 120 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast.
Does your venue have overnight accommodation?
We have accommodation for up to 30 guests across the estate. 15 can stay within the Hall itself, while the rest of our accommodation can be found across three cottages. All of these cottages are within a few minutes walk from the Hall.
Camping is also available should extra guests want to stay the night at a rate of £15 per person per night.

What tip would you give couples looking to find the perfect venue?
Think about your guest list before finalising your venue choices. If you can create a rough guest list you’ll have a good idea of what venues can cater for your needs. Likewise, if you fall in love with another venue, you can also choose to be flexible with your guest list to enable you to get wed at your dream venue.
