Situated near Aylsham, close to Norwich and the East coast, the stunning venue offers up a number of features to enjoy, including the magnificent Great Barn, the delightful Orangery, and 15 acres of glorious grounds.

What type of wedding venue is Oxnead Hall?

Oxnead Hall is a beautiful Grade II listed building full of history and heritage. Elegant and exquisite, it stands in 15 acres of grounds and was the home of the great Norfolk family, the Pastons, between the 15th and 18th Centuries.

What can couples expect from a wedding at your venue?

Oxnead Hall is an exclusive use venue, open to wedding couples and their guests to explore for the duration of their celebrations.

The 15 acres of pleasure grounds include extensive lawns that sweep down to the lake and banks of the River Bure. You'll also find beautiful tree avenues, a folly, water gardens, fountains and a grand parterre with ornamental box and yew hedging – all of which provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding day photographs.

Couples also have plenty of choice when it comes to planning the details of their wedding. Instead of spending the day in one setting, you'll find a variety of stunning rooms within the Hall, as well as the Orangery and magnificent Great Barn. Couples can pick and choose which setting to use for their ceremony and which to choose for their wedding breakfast.

What capacity do you have for ceremonies and wedding receptions?

Our smallest ceremony space, the Orangery, can seat up to 50 for a wedding ceremony, while the Long Room has capacity for up to 140 guests.

Wedding breakfasts typically take place in the Long Room or the Great Barn. The former can seat 50 for dinner while the Barn is more commonly used and is the largest of the rooms, seating up to 200 guests comfortably.

Does your venue have overnight accommodation?

The entire North Wing of the Hall provides luxurious overnight accommodation for wedding parties and will soon boast 11 double bedrooms, all including en suite bathrooms. The North Wing also contains a grand dining room, spacious kitchen and a snug that all help to create a wonderful space where guests can relax and enjoy each other's company. The estate also includes two delightful cottages; Hall Cottage and Garden Cottage, both of which offer a secluded location for your guests to stay in the Hall's grounds.

What’s the best thing about an Oxnead Hall wedding?

The location and setting make any wedding at Oxnead Hall very special indeed. With a collection of fabulous historic buildings in an idyllic British landscaped setting with ornamental, extensive gardens, there's certainly no shortage of fabulous photo opportunities. How much does it cost to get married at your venue?

At Oxnead Hall there are many different pricing options. You can choose to just hire the Gardens and the Orangery, or you can hire the entire venue, including all of the accommodation.

On top of the venue hire charge there’s also the Unique Norfolk Venues service charge. This covers all aspects of your day such as the wedding breakfast and on-the-day co-ordination.

Do you have a wedding co-ordinator?

As part of our service, we provide all couples with a wedding coordinator who'll be there to support you on your wedding day. Your co-ordinator will also set up you venue the day prior to your celebrations and clear everything away the morning after.

What tip would you give couples looking to find the perfect venue?

If you've got a date in mind for your wedding, do check availability with the venue before viewing to avoid disappointment. Try to be flexible though as you will have a greater choice of brilliant venues.
