Morden Hall, London
A historical manor house, Morden Hall is a superb wedding venue. The building itself, with its white render, slate grey roof, sash windows and black glossy front door, is reflective of the Art Deco era. Internally the inspiring décor really sets the scene with the use of bold colours and rich fabrics, individual pieces of furniture and elegant lighting and soft furnishings. Situated in a National Trust Park, Modern Hall provides a parkland oasis with expansive grounds and tranquil private gardens. The courtyard is typically Regency London, combining statuesque potted trees, circular and geometric designed planting areas, stone walkways and wrought-iron pillars surrounding the space.
Brympton House, Somerset
Sophisticated, stylish and full of grandeur, Brympton House is a luxurious country residence. The property itself dates back to 1350 however it has been carefully restored to fuse period features with a modern style. The ballroom incorporates Art Deco touches, including 1920s cinema-style uplighter wall lights, chandeliers and a bespoke arts and craft inspired dresser filled with an array of vintage china. The décor of both the Saloon, with its white panelled walls and oversized open fireplace, and the Library Bar, with its mahogany panelled walls and vintage dressers, are delightfully Art Deco too.
