As a bit of a wedding obsessive, our Wedding Venue Specialist Jeni has spent years dreaming up her big day details. While she lives and breathes weddings at work, she also brings her love for weddings home and enjoys planning special occasions for all her family and friends. Now engaged, Jeni has begun to plan the finer details of her special day – influenced by all things rustic and boho in style.
Finding the right venue was key to creating the perfect wedding theme. Jeni and her husband-to-be chose Essex’s Gaynes Park because of its adaptability and its peaceful, idyllic setting – perfect for that dreamy boho celebration. Guests will be invited to celebrate here with stationery that reflects the venue’s classy and elegant vibe. The invitations will also feature a floral design, in colours to reflect the overall theme of the day, giving guests a little taster of what to expect.

Dressing Gaynes Park will be easy. Already beautiful, Jeni plans to add just a few simple touches – wild flowers, candles, fairy lights and a touch of glitter, because you can never go wrong with a bit of glam. The gardens at Gaynes Park also enhance the rustic, boho feel of the venue, offering up plenty of opportunities for those all-important post-ceremony shots. Romantic and whimsical, Jeni plans on adding just a few heartfelt touches, such as personalised signs, to bring out her and her husband-to-be’s unique style.

In keeping with one of this year’s hottest trends, Jeni has already purchased a boho-inspired lace dress. Not only does her gown make her feel a million dollars, it also complements the chic feel of Gaynes Park perfectly. Paired with her rustic, wild bouquet, featuring purple, dusky pink and ivory tones, Jeni is set to look like a true boho bride.
Of course, that underlying glam tone, that’s running throughout the wedding day, hasn’t been forgotten when it comes to Jeni’s outfit. Just like the sparkle being used sparingly in her décor, Jeni is completing her look with some gorgeous glitz shoes. While glam, she’s made sure they’re also dance-proof!
When it comes to those all-important accessories, Jeni has opted to keep things simple, but with a touch of glamour. In keeping with the boho look, Jeni plans on wearing a statement bridal hairpiece – which will work with a variety of hairstyles, and a simple sparkly bracelet or two.

While it’s certain that Jeni will be dressed to impress, it looks like the groom’s party and bridal party will be looking pretty spectacular too. While the groom plans to finish off his suit with a quirky cravat and wild flower buttonhole, the ushers will be complementing the colour scheme, in keeping with the groom. The bridesmaids will be wearing a selection of pretty tones, all in the same colour, ensuring they complement both the bride and the overall theme of the day.

The perfect party
The final touches, such as the cake and entertainment, will just add to the rustic, boho look and feel of the day. While a statement cake is important to Jeni, so is the taste! When it comes to the entertainment, live music is a must and should feature throughout the celebrations. Think acoustic singer for the day reception and a live band at night – setting the right mood to get everyone up on the dancefloor.
