The most lavish of celebrations

All us married women have been there – trying to whittle down our wedding guest list to a reasonable number while struggling along the way! At Clearwell Castle you don’t have to be so restrictive. The large venue capacity takes the stress out of cutting down your guest numbers and allows up to 160 for your ceremony and 250 for your evening reception. What’s more, you’ll have the stunning Castle to celebrate in - guaranteeing the most perfect party.

Making things easy

Unlike most wedding venues, which only provide post-wedding accommodation, the Castle has a number of estate cottages on site available for use the night before your wedding. This means you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and get ready at your own pace without needing to travel on the morning of your wedding. Guests can also book a room in one of the cottages – which is especially useful for those who’ve got a long way to travel.

There are also 15 bedrooms available for use on the night of your wedding, including the gorgeous Gresham Bridal Suite. The suite comes complete with a grand four poster bed, indulgent décor and a spa bath – ensuring the perfect finishing touch to your special day.

What’s more, wedding planning support isn’t an add-on extra at Clearwell Castle. Every single wedding package offered by the venue includes support from a dedicated Front of House Manager. They’ll help you with all those elements of planning in the run up to your big day and will co-ordinate your wedding day too – ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

A wedding weekend

One thing most brides will tell you is that your wedding day goes by far too fast and to begin the celebrations as early as you can. At Clearwell Castle, you can ignore traditions of a one-day affair and celebrate for two days.

On the afternoon before the main event you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxed drinks reception with friends and family, setting the scene for the celebrations ahead. You’ll retire to one of the bedrooms later that night before waking up to a tasty breakfast and a pamper session with one of the Castle’s recommended beauty therapists. The men can also make the most of the two-day affair with a range of outdoor activities including clay pigeon shooting and archery.
