The beautiful country barn wedding venue, Dodmoor House, sits on the bank of the Grand Union Canal and offers a variety of elements that appear on most brides’ wedding wish lists. It has a gorgeous rustic barn backdrop, beautiful honeymoon suite for the newlywed couple and wedding co-ordination that’s second to none.

For all brides, a beautiful setting is very important and Dodmoor House offers just that. It’s not surprising that they won the National Wedding Venue of the Year award in the 2013 Wedding Industry Awards.
Your day will start in the ambient Courtyard Barn, licensed for up to 90 guests. Full of character and charming rustic details, the barn provides the perfect setting for your rural romance. What’s more, the barn opens out directly onto the courtyard, meaning natural light streams in upon your vows and that your celebrations flow freely – from ceremony to drinks reception, which is enjoyed out in the courtyard.
The stunning courtyard is a real hotspot at the venue and great for your big-day photographs. It can also be used for outdoor food – like a hog roast – and a social hub right through into the evening.

The onsite wedding co-ordinators will be on hand to answer all those niggling questions and will work closely with you in the crucial final stages of your planning. They will be present on the day of your wedding to make sure everything runs smoothly and will also pack everything up at the end of the night. Of course, wedding venue choices also come down to capacity and Dodmoor House is likely to cater for the majority of weddings. With space for 90 guests for a sit down meal and 180 for an evening party, there’s enough room for all your aunts, cousins and best friends. Planning a wedding is always so much easier when you don’t have to restrict your guest list!

Your romantic retreat
We think we’d be right in saying that for most couples, a wedding day isn’t just about the ceremony or reception, and it’s about the whole package – including that extra special honeymoon night. Dodmoor House has a gorgeous Honeymoon Suite for the two of you. Even better is the news that it’s included in your venue hire fee! As you relax in the luscious surroundings and wake up the next morning, you’ll also be brought your first breakfast in bed as a married couple. How is that for service?!
While there may not be accommodation onsite for family, the fabulous wedding team has sorted out a great package with two local hotels. It includes a discounted stay for any wedding guests who book a room there PLUS free transport from the venue to the hotel at the end of the night – it’s almost as good as onsite accommodation! Guests can enjoy a few of their favourite tipples without the worry of driving to the nearest hotel post-celebration.
