If you choose to get married outdoors, you’ll do so in the beautiful Summer House, a stunning seven-sided oak framed structure by the lily pond and framed by the garden behind. Your ceremony can be followed by drinks and photographs – which take place on the enchanting lawns. Here, there are lots of charming features to explore. There’s the herb garden and potager, the paddocks grazed by rare breed pigs and free range chickens, as well as plenty of woodland that reflects the beauty of each and every season.
While offering an outdoor ceremony option, South Farm have made sure to keep winter brides and more traditional brides happy with a multitude of fabulous indoor ceremony options too. There’s the classic country house Drawing Room, for intimate celebrations of up to 35, the Old Dairy, which can accommodate 105 guests, or the splendid Tudor Barn, licensed for ceremonies of up to 180.
You wedding day should be all about you – and South Farm ensure that by giving you exclusive use of the venue for your entire day. No interruptions, no restricted areas. You and your guests will have the entirety of the venue to enjoy for the duration of your wedding – and even the night if you choose to stay.
A venue for parties big and small
When it comes to writing your guest list, we know how hard it can be whittling down those numbers. With a wedding at South Farm you won’t have to. There’s probably even space for your next-door neighbour! The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies with up to 180 guests, a sit-down meal for up to 145 and evening receptions of up to 200 – ideal for even the most lavish of celebrations!
Food glorious food…
Or course, your big-day isn’t just about the formalities – good food now appears on most bride’s wedding ‘must-haves’. And at South Farm you’re guaranteed just that. Excellent food that’s widely acclaimed, largely organic and home-grown – because if there’s one time you should eat the best of the best, it’s on your wedding day.
The venue’s menus lean heavily on their home-grown fruit and vegetables, egg from their barnyard poultry, free range pigs, fish fresh from the lake and game from the surrounding estate. There’s also plenty of choice when it comes to cuisine, ranging from Oriental to Mediterranean and English country house inspired feasts. You’ll certainly have plenty of choice.
Somewhere to stay the night
Something else that is becoming increasingly important to today’s couples is venue accommodation. While many couples choose to get married in their hometown, a lot of couples have set up home elsewhere, away from their hometown and family. With this in mind, onsite accommodation for family who’ve travelled from far and wide is a welcome addition.
South Farm offers accommodation for up to 24 guests within luxurious family suites and quirky Romany caravans. There’s also unlimited camping available on site too for your more adventurous guests – plus lots of fabulous B&Bs and hotels nearby.
