Every bride likes to feel special on her wedding day - and while most venues have something magical about them, manor houses provide that style, sophistication and regal charm that can be hard to find in other venue types.
Somerset’s St Audries Park ticks those all-important things on a modern bride-to-be’s wishlist. It has glorious interiors, awe-inspiring gardens, great food, onsite accommodation and real star quality.
Picture perfect setting
The venue has an enviable setting loved by many brides – which is just one of the reasons why it was voted Best Wedding Venue by the readers of Wedding Ideas Magazine in 2013. Nestled in the Quantock Hills, the manor house with its majestic tower, leaded windows and sweeping driveway, overlooks the Bristol Channel and is surrounded by 100 acres of deer park. These wonderful grounds can be enjoyed during your drinks reception while you all indulge in fizz and canapés. When not tucking in to a bite to eat, guests can admire the stunning landscapes and get involved in some garden game on the vast lawns.
Beautiful ceremony and reception rooms help make any wedding venue a winner and St Audries Park certainly has some of the best we’ve seen.
While you can always style a room to make it more beautiful, a room that’s full of character, natural charm and history will rarely need any extra décor. The manor house rooms and Victorian Orangery at this venue are one-of-a-kind. Majestic and unique, they offer the perfect backdrop for each element of your celebrations.
As expected from its name, the Banqueting Hall makes the most perfect choice for your big-day feast. Seating up to 130, your wedding breakfast will transport you back to regal celebrations from another era as you dine on the highest quality food in style.
Planned to perfection
With a wedding in such a magnificent venue, you’ll want to make sure everything goes to plan. The wedding team at St Audries ensure you and your guests are looked after from start to finish. They provide a dedicated Front of House Manager to ensure every element of your celebration is spectacular and will help you with all the planning in the lead up to your big-day. They’ll also ensure that everything runs seamlessly on the day itself.
Your wedding weekend
St Audries Park offers the flexibility to stay the night before and after your wedding – but doesn’t make this a necessity. If you live nearby the venue, or you’ve got a tight budget, you don’t have to stay for the two nights. But if you’d like to turn your one-day affair into a weekend of celebrations, St Audries Park gives you the option to do so. The whole country estate can be yours for the weekend and included in your wedding package. There’s room for up to 40 guests to sleep within the historic estate the night before the wedding and space for over 70 guests to stay on the night of your wedding.
With the two-day wedding package, you can enjoy drinks reception and rehearsal dinner with family and friends prior to your big-day, and wake up the morning of your wedding feeling refreshed and ready to face the main event. Breakfast will be served to you and your guests within the Manor House and the ladies will be treated to a morning of pampering. The men, on the other hand, will enjoy a range of outdoor activities, such as clay pigeon shooting and archery – before making their way to the ceremony.
