There are plenty of ways to add personal touches to your wedding day, but one of our favourites has to be personalised wedding fonts. As there’s so much typography involved in planning a wedding, it adds that extra special element throughout your day that’s unique to you and your h2b. Here are some ideas for where you could use your own font…

Envelopes

Obviously it makes sense to use your personalised fonts on your stationery, but have you thought about your envelopes? These days you can easily design or commission your own rubber stamp with your name and address on, which looks fantastic on save the dates and invitations. You could even create one with your married name especially for thank you letters!

Favours

Featuring your personalised font on a printed label is one of the easiest ways to personalise your wedding favours. Whether you print your guests’ names so your favours double up as place cards, use the opportunity for a pun (we love ‘Let love grow’ for seeds or ‘Meant to bee’ for honey), or simply put ‘with love from’, your guests will be sure to appreciate the touch.

Place cards

Speaking of place cards, this is a no-brainer – even a simple Kraft paper place card will look extra elegant when it features a beautiful font. Add a sprig of rosemary or lavender or a single rose or eucalyptus stem for a chic addition to your place setting.

Thank you notes

For a lasting reminder of your special day, have a thank you present engraved with your font for your bridal party, parents or ushers. This could be a photo frame, a hip flask or (our personal favourite) a wooden box containing a bottle of whiskey, wine or Champagne.

Cake topper

Even the plainest cake will be jazzed up with a personalised cake topper! Once you’ve created your design using your own font, have it cut in wood or acrylic; it’ll not only look amazing at your wedding, but you can use after the big day as a keepsake.

Ring box

Have you ever seen anything cuter than this personalised ring box? Engraving your ring box with your names, initials or wedding date in your font should make it stand out a little more – plus, it’ll look beautiful on your nightstand after the big day.
