Lyndsay and Ian knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding venue; a setting that was beautiful inside and out with stunning grounds for their drinks reception and wedding photos. Most importantly, their wedding venue had to boast a warm and welcoming atmosphere, for all the couple’s family and friends.
Lyndsay and Ian scheduled visits to see a number of venues a year before their proposed wedding date. West Tower, which sits in the rolling Lancashire countryside, was just one of the venues the pair visited. “We instantly fell in love with West Tower,” smiles Lyndsay. “It had everything we could have wished for and to top it off the staff were great,” she adds. “They couldn’t do enough to help.”
Cheerful in coral
To complement their spring wedding, the couple went all out with colour – adopting a bright coral theme for their day. Thanks to the help of the experts at Premier Events, West Tower was transformed to Lyndsay and Ian’s taste with tables and chairs featuring a pop of colour and a wow-factor dance floor complete with light-up letters. The couple’s florist, Daisy Chain, styled all the flowers for the day with bright and beautiful centrepieces and pretty bouquets to complement the pair’s coral-themed day.
Keeping to tradition
When it came to their big-day attire, Lyndsay and Ian chose to keep things traditional with Lyndsay in a crisp, white mermaid wedding gown and veil and Ian in a sharp, grey suit. Lyndsay’s four bridesmaids added that all-important colour, dressed in coral, while her three flower girls wore white.
The perfect party
Lyndsay and Ian’s hard work and plans came together for their big-day celebrations on the 6th May. The pair’s wedding began with a ceremony in West Tower’s beautiful ballroom and was followed by a delightful drinks reception outdoors. Their littlest guests – and some of the big guests - occupied themselves with a range of garden games laid out across the West Tower lawn.
The Great British menu
The couple’s three-course wedding menu was the perfect choice for their charming English country wedding venue – featuring all the best in traditional British grub. The menu featured a starter of leek and potato soup, a hearty beef roast main, and a moreish chocolate brownie for dessert. The couple also served up their wedding cake – a spectacular five tier cake styled with cascading flowers. In fact, it looked almost too good to eat!
Simply the best
Into the night, the newlyweds and their guests settled into West Tower and had the party of their lives. Lyndsay and Ian warmed up the dance floor with a first dance to You Are the Best Thing, by Ray Lamontagne, and were quickly joined by family and friends. “The whole day and night went without a hitch,” smiles Lyndsay. “Nothing was too much trouble for the wedding team – we can’t thank them enough for making our day completely stress-free.”
