Nicky and Stef had two things in mind when it came to planning their wedding – a romantic venue and superb food guaranteed to wow their guests. With high expectations the couple set upon their search to find the perfect place for their dream wedding day…
Barn romance
It wasn’t long before Nicky and Stef came across Clock Barn, in Hampshire. With its romantic ambience and beautiful surroundings, it was no surprise that it was love at first sight. “We loved it right from the start,” smiles Nicky. “The moment we walked into the beautiful barn we knew we had to have it for our special day. Everything from the fairy lights to the cute vintage bunting was perfect,” she adds.
Colours of romance
Already beautiful, the couple needed to do very little when it came to extra décor. The romantic fairy lights set the tone and atmosphere for the day, while additional flowers, added by the couple, finished off the look. The couple also opted for a classically romantic colour scheme of pinks, greys and silver, which they used throughout their décor and their attire. Nicky’s five bridesmaids all wore gowns in these shades and were dressed on-trend with their mismatched look.

Blue for you
The classic look of the day was echoed in the couple’s choice of attire too. Nicky wore a luxe lace dress, with a long train and lace sleeves, and accessorised with a tiara and diamante-embellished veil. Stef also looked the part in his sky blue three-piece suit, finished off with a signature silver tie. “He looked amazing,” smiles Nicky.

I do, I do, I do…
On their December wedding day Nicky and Stef enjoyed a church ceremony before heading to Clock Barn. Nicky set the tone for the day as she arrived in a black and white Rolls Royce Phantom, and the sophistication continued with their stylish wedding venue.

A day to impress
Keen to wow their guests, the couple choose a menu they knew would impress. They opted for a starter of Scotch egg with pancetta, a main of beef with Madeira and thyme sauce, and a dessert of winter crumble. “It was the most incredible food ever,” smiles Nicky. “Huge compliments to the on-site catering team – we were so impressed!”
The food wasn’t the only thing to impress the couple’s wedding guests, the groom also left the room in awe with his romantic speech. “Stef’s speech was so incredible. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room,” smiles Nicky. The couple were also blessed to have a friend sing Songbird for their first dance, as their celebrations continued from day into the night.

Nicky’s top tip:
“Your wedding photos are a hugely important part of the day so make time for them. We wish we had stayed at the church longer to have more photos with all our guests.”
