Say I do to Slaugham Place

Say I do to Slaugham Place | CHWV

If you’re looking to celebrate in the great outdoors, amongst breathtaking ruins and 12 acres of beautiful grounds, Slaugham Place in West Sussex could be just the place.

With an air of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Slaugham Place is magical, mystical and all-together marvellous. To understand why we love it so much… read on.

The enchanting ruins are simply stunning.

There’s just no better way to describe it. Standing within the grounds, you’ll find the Grade II listed ruins of an Elizabethan manor house. Its three magnificent stone arches, original walls and window frames exude romance, especially when lit up at night. There’s always something rather romantic about history and elegance and, at Slaugham Place you have both in abundance.

The grounds are magical… and all yours

Set in the secluded West Sussex countryside close to Crawley and Horsham, the ruins sit within 12 acres of grounds. Features include formal gardens, a meandering river with wooden bridge, mature trees and stunning floral displays. With a host of areas to celebrate, dine, dance and enjoy spending time with your guests, it’s all yours for the duration of your day.

You can marry under the arches

Yes indeed… Slaugham Place is licensed for civil ceremonies under the imposing stone arches. And, as you’re outside, there is plenty of room to seat up to 250 guests on the lawn. You can’t get much closer to nature than this – an idyllic environment in which to say ‘I do’.

The photo opportunities are second to none

Wedding photographs are a wonderful memento of your day, and at Slaugham Place you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your backdrop. The wooden bridge crossing the river is a particular favourite, or you might choose a secluded area in the grounds, and perhaps some lovely shots amongst the ruins.

For marquee dining, it’s the best

We’re talking luxury marquee here – fully lined and carpeted and with arched windows running the length of the marquee to allow the light to flood in. A blank canvas, you can adopt your own colour scheme, and we love the chandeliers, fairy lights and starlit roof lining. This is your own secret hideaway in the middle of the countryside – could it be any more romantic?!
