We take a look at some of the most iconic wedding dresses of all time. Let us know in the comments if you think we’ve missed anyone out.
Queen Victoria
We can’t possibly look at iconic wedding dresses without including the dress worn by Queen Victoria to her wedding to Prince Albert in 1840. You might be on the lookout for a different style but it was this dress that sparked the trend to wear white… and so the white wedding dress became popular.

Audrey Hepburn
A renowned style icon, the outfits worn by Audrey Hepburn have always set trends, and her dress for her 1954 wedding to Mel Ferrer is one of our favourites. A full-skirted fifties style designed by Pierre Balmain, it had elegant long sleeves and a delicate collar. Audrey accessorised with roses in her hair – simply stunning.

Grace Kelly
When actress Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier in 1956, she wore a gown designed by MGM costume designer Helen Rose. Made from silk taffeta and embellished with antique lace and pearls, it was created by three seamstresses over six weeks – truly a dress fit for a princess. Perhaps the most iconic dress of all time, she has certainly been the inspiration for many brides choosing to wear lace or long-sleeved gowns.
