When it comes to wedding venues in East Sussex, Hendall Manor Barns is a delightful and popular barn wedding venue in a picturesque, rural location. It has much more on offer than just nice surroundings though. Let's take a closer look at why it's so well loved, shall we?
1. The Building
The magnificent Stone Barn is set on two levels and serves as the perfect location for a wedding ceremony and reception. Dating back to the 17th Century, this stunning building has been lovingly restored to an incredible standard, boasting exposed sandstone brickwork and a vaulted oak-beamed ceiling for a breath-taking traditional appearance. The Stone Barn allows natural light to flood in through the floor to ceiling glass openings, providing that bright and airy feel that so many traditional barns cannot offer. Ceremonies can take place on either level while the wedding breakfast will be held on the lower level although weddings can be tailored to suit the bride and groom's requirements. Live music is very much encouraged so as to take advantage of the fabulous acoustics with the lower half of the building quickly transformed to create a beautiful dance floor. As all your guests are in this one magnificent ‘room’ consequently everyone is participating.
2. The Gardens
The Stone Barn opens directly out onto the immaculately kept lawn which, surrounded by the traditional farm buildings, makes a delightfully secluded spot for reception drinks and mingling with your guests. It's a perfect sun trap making it ideal for a summer wedding and the raised terrace provides a delightful spot to enjoy the warm weather. The garden is a wonderful spot for photos too with the sandstone barn providing a delightful backdrop. The bridal party can also make use of Hendall Manor’s private walled garden and a lovely boardwalk beside our pond. offering a tranquil and peaceful spot for some more romantic shots.

3. The Honeymoon Suite
Calling Hendall Manor's accommodation a honeymoon suite does not really do it justice. It is, in fact, a honeymoon barn and a fantastic building that provides everything you may need on your big day. This self-contained and historic barn offers a wonderful space where you can get ready before your ceremony and a peaceful setting to unwind after the festivities have wound down. The oak-timbered barn can provide accommodation for another five guests so you can host your nearest and dearest if you so wish. With a fully furnished kitchen, two spacious double bedrooms with an optional third bedroom in a converted pigsty, an excellently stocked games room with pool table, and a glazed studio room with table tennis and also well used as an ideal hair & make-up salon. With a delightful living room space, it's the perfect place that is yours for however you need it.
4. The Flexibility
Arguably one of the greatest features of this barn wedding venue is the ability to have your wedding exactly the way you want it. This family-owned venue doesn't limit you to certain wedding packages or food and drinks menus and will work with you to create a day that is perfectly tailored to you. The husband and wife team at Hendall Manor Barns encourage couples to visit as much as they like so they can plan their ideal wedding and explore every possibility that is available to them. With the seating arrangements for your wedding breakfast also being highly flexible and capable of formal catering for 50 to 120 guests, this intimate venue offers an unrivalled level of input for the happy couple to create their perfect day.
