As Blackwell Grange opens its doors to weddings, we want to share its delights with you. An exclusive barn wedding venue in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside, it has so much to offer. Here are just a few of the reasons we think you’re going to love it.
1. It is steeped in heritage and history
There’s nothing we love more than romance and, at Blackwell Grange love is in the air! A family-owned home for generations, it is still a thriving farm. The current owners, William and Didi Vernon Miller have lovingly restored the beautiful listed farm buildings to create a breathtaking wedding venue. Attention to detail is second to none, from the expert craftsmanship to the stunning interior design.

2. You can say ‘I do’ in a 16th century barn
The Thatch Barn was built in 1543 and was completely renovated and restored in 2016. The thatch was replaced, a beautiful new sandstone floor was laid and a magnificent open fire was built at one end of the barn. Beneath the original beams, you can now have a civil ceremony. To say it’s idyllic is an understatement! We love it… and if you’d prefer a religious ceremony there are some beautiful churches in the surrounding villages.

3. The contemporary Orchard Barn is all yours for dining
While the Thatch Barn is 400 years old, the Orchard Barn is brand new, contemporary and equally impressive. This is the space for welcome drinks, dining and dancing and it has been constructed with that in mind. Features include a striking copper bar, a magnificent dining space with bi-fold doors leading out on to the terrace, and a mezzanine ‘snug’ with cosy sofas for guests to chill out.

4. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and countryside
At Blackwell Grange, there are three immaculate lawns to choose from. Enjoy welcome drinks and canapés on Apple Tree Lawn or Cider Lawn, and mingle with your guests over evening cocktails and wood-fired pizza in the Herb Garden. Even during the winter, you can gaze across the gardens to lights in the trees in Chestnut Dell, and over the countryside beyond.
