There’s something extra special about a waterside wedding. From the serenity of a beautiful lake to the romantic rush of a river, not forgetting the flora and fauna that springs up nearby – there’s no denying that such venues are beautiful. Luckily for all our Country House Wedding Venue brides, we’ve got plenty of amazing waterside settings to choose from. Here are just a few of our favourites…
Bassmead Manor Barns, Cambridgeshire
Bassmead Manor Barns combines the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside with a charming historic moat. Creating a real sense of tranquillity, nearby running waters will provide the perfect backdrop during your drinks reception, as you sip on Prosecco and enjoy some delicious canapes. The iconic ironwork footbridge, which sits above the water, is also a wonderful spot for your big day photos.

The Dairy, Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire
Tie the knot in a truly spectacular waterside setting at The Dairy, Waddesdon Manor, in Buckinghamshire. The National Trust property has its own outdoor wedding license, meaning you can enjoy a ceremony while overlooking the lake. Best of all, the pavilion extends several feet along the length of the water – so your guests will be surrounded by this tranquil pool too. Even if you decide on an indoor wedding, there are still options that offer beautiful views of the lake.
