“Spring is such a wonderful time of year for wedding flowers, where everything bursts into life after the dull winter… we see daffodils springing up outside and the blossom blooming on the trees. It really is a beautiful time to get married and an Easter-themed wedding would be the perfect way to celebrate!”

“There are so many beautiful seasonal flowers around for an Easter wedding. Ranunculus are one of the favourites for brides. A smaller version of the peony, this little beauty has plenty of ruffled layers of petals and adds so much beautiful texture to a bouquet. Anemones are also a winner with their strong jewel tones and dark centres, they can be such an eye-catching flower, adding much needed colour in the spring time.”

“Spring is a wonderful time for scented flowers too. Narcissi are tiny little daffodils and have such a strong scent. Paper whites are a pure white colour for the bride wanting an elegant, simple look or there are lots of other cream and yellow varieties for the classic Easter look of fresh, bright tones.”

“Foliage is also important and my favourite to use in spring is viburnum; a lush bright green foliage which looks absolutely stunning just on its own or added in to bouquets and arrangements. Spring is the time of year where either the soft grey foliage such as eucalyptus, or the zingy bright nature of the viburnum can work equally well. Another filler flower I use constantly for an Easter wedding theme is ginista, also known as broom, which has a subtle sweet scent and comes in a variety of styles.”

“Bouquets can be loose, natural and wild during the spring and there are so many beautiful textures you get from the smaller, dainty flowers such as muscari and narcissi. These hellebores here add so much depth and interest with their pretty, mottled flower heads… a must for all spring brides!”

“We mustn’t forget the boys! There is so much variety when it comes to Easter buttonholes; gone are the days of having just a singular rose and ranunculus, muscari and anemones all look amazing. These tied little buttonholes are such a modern accessory to any suit. Finished off with ribbon or twine, they are very versatile.”

“Tables can be filled with potted spring bulbs covered in moss in terracotta pots, tall vases filled with billowing blossom, or stone urns filled with a tumbling arrangement of seasonal blooms, which are all perfect for an Easter theme. There really is so much variety for spring wedding flowers, and you’ll find all of the flowers mentioned should be in season from December through April.”
