Cheshire is a wonderful county that includes historic cities, quaint villages, and, perhaps most importantly for the venues we're going to talk about, glorious rolling countryside! As a result, it's home to some truly beautiful wedding venues and, in particular, a number of stunning barns that provide rural settings for couples to tie the knot. Here are our favourites, and a cheeky bonus wedding venue too that's just over the border!
Sandhole Oak Barn
This wonderful barn wedding venue lies just outside of Congleton and offers a relaxed setting with a truly breathtaking surrounding. For an unforgettable ceremony, couples can exchange vows on the banks of the private lake, underneath the striking Oak Clock Tower. The Oak Barn is a light and airy place to hold an indoor ceremony and wedding breakfast, and nothing could be more romantic than watching the sun set over the lake on your first day as a married couple.

The Oak Tree of Peover
This stunning place is everything you imagine a rural barn wedding venue to be. The exposed beams, cream walls and extensive glass windows create a beautiful, light-filled setting for your ceremony and reception, while the lawn and lake provides a secluded and idyllic space to enjoy with your guests. Nestled amongst pretty woodland, the venue has a delightful feeling of seclusion and privacy, perfect for an intimate wedding day celebrations.
Just over the border and into Staffordshire lies The Ashes. We know we promised you Cheshire wedding venues, but we thought this one was just too good not to mention! This venue has that delightful rustic appeal and maintains many of the original features that make it really stand out. The traditional stone walls, Juliet balconies and stunning oak floor, make the two barns wonderful places to spend your day, while the Formal Lawn is an incredible setting for a drinks reception with views for miles around!
