With so many magical wedding venues in the South West, it can be hard to know where to start. Well, we’ve done the hard work for you, tracking down some of the most beautiful venues in the region. Where will you choose to set the scene for your big day?
1. Guyers House, Wiltshire
This Wiltshire country house offers an elegant venue for your wedding day. Set in beautifully planted gardens, complete with a croquet lawn for garden games, you’re guaranteed a glorious day. Choose from the grand Ballroom or the traditional Garden Room for your ceremony - whichever suits you as a couple best. Afterwards, you can celebrate with up to 80 guests in the ultra-romantic Orangery.

On the hunt for South West wedding venues that ooze glamour and history at every turn? You’ll love Grade I-listed St Giles House, which has been lovingly restored for up to 120 guests to enjoy. Inside, elegant cornicing, gilt frames and silk wallpapers create a timeless backdrop for your big day.
For an intimate ceremony, settings don’t get more magical than this venue’s Shell Grotto. Shells from the Caribbean decorate this 18th-century building!

3. Crowcombe Court, Somerset
You can feel like royalty for the day when you marry at Crowcombe Court because this venue will be exclusively yours. Perched on the edge of the Quantock Hills, this has to be one of the grandest wedding venues in the South West. Civil ceremonies take place in the Great Hall, while those wanting a religious ceremony are catered for too, thanks to the church at the end of the driveway.

4. River Cottage, Devon
Get married at River Cottage and you’re in for a gastronomic treat! This place has made a name for itself as the go-to for foodies when it comes to South West wedding venues, and it’s easy to see why. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s trained chefs cook up a feast from local produce for your wedding breakfast, which can be held in the Dining Room or the charming Threshing Barn. 5. St Audries Park, Somerset
Fairy-tale wedding venues don’t get more idyllic than St Audries Park. Surrounded by 100 acres of parkland close to the coast, this stately home sets the scene for a stunning wedding in the country, especially if you choose the Victorian Orangery for your vows. Even better, it comes with exclusive use and bedrooms too, so you can turn your wedding into a weekend-long celebration.
6. The Green, Cornwall
Country-chic meets coastal charm at The Green in Cornwall. This former dairy farm is now a luxurious wedding venue, with three ceremony spaces to choose from. For country-luxe style, The Wedding Barn is the winner, but if you’re a fan of all-things shabby chic, The Really Rustic Barn, with its corrugated iron and exposed brick, will definitely wow you.
Want to get married outdoors? Choose the Oak Arbour. Set on a hillside and surrounded by trees, this is a hidden gem when it comes to South West wedding venues.
