4. Mythe Barn, Leicestershire
Mythe Barn in Leicestershire has a reputation for being one of the best modern wedding venues around. 6. Millbridge Court, Surrey
Set in the Surrey countryside but still only a stone’s throw from London, Millbridge Court is a seriously strong contender for modern wedding venues. Enormous glazed walls and windows ensure the purpose-built barns are bright and airy whatever the weather.
Even better, this beautiful venue combines a traditional courtyard setting with a stylish glass atrium. That means if you get married here, you’ll soak up glorious country views during your drinks reception come rain or shine.

7. That Amazing Place, Essex
The clue is in the name for this Essex wedding venue, but how did this 15th-century, former monastery make it onto our list of top contemporary wedding venues? And then there’s the award-winning bedrooms to snuggle up in after the party end. Inside this venue’s historic façade is the ideal location for a contemporary weekend wedding.
