The Perfect Venue
Setting an August wedding date, Kim and Lewis were looking for a beautiful venue in Hampshire. They came across Clock Barn and their search was over!
“We instantly fell in love with the cosy barn feel,” explains Kim “We loved the long driveway, away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. It was a little piece of Heaven, just for us and our friends and family to enjoy.”
Setting the Scene
In keeping with the style of the barn, the happy couple chose a country feel with a shabby chic look, adding personalised touches wherever possible. Various pastel tones were chosen, the perfect choice for a summer country wedding.
“My mum and I did all the table decorations, flowers, seating plan and table place names,” smiles Kim.
Gypsophila was the main flower alongside other pretty blooms including germinis.
“We wanted to create a friendly, warm, loving and happy vibe,” says Kim.
Kim wore a stunning Justin Alexander gown.
“As soon as I put it on, it fitted perfectly,” she smiles. “I felt so comfortable in it and it had a subtle sparkle.”
The beautiful bride completed the look with sparkly shoes and her grandmother’s pearls.
Meanwhile, Lewis looked the part in a three-piece suit from Moss Bros and Kim’s three bridesmaids wore multiway dresses from Debenhams in a pretty shade of lilac.
“While I chose the dress and colour, they had the freedom to wear it however they wanted,” says Kim.
Order of the Day
Following their ceremony at Clock Barn, welcome drinks were served and the guests moved in to dine. Pork spring roll was followed by a steak main course and for pudding, a delicious trio of desserts.
“Everyone loved it and said it was the best food they have ever eaten,” smiles Kim.
As the sun went down, Kim and Lewis delighted their guests with a popcorn machine and sweetie table. They also had a ‘wedding bake off’ with guests bringing different cakes to share.
The newlyweds danced their first dance to ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran and the DJ filled the dancefloor, also bringing along a photo booth.
“It’s impossible to choose just one! The ceremony, confetti, taking photos, drinks, dinner, speeches, cutting the cake, our first dance..!”
Advice from the Bride
“Be yourself and consider making some decorations. It was really enjoyable and not stressful.”
