Lisa and Daniel celebrated their August wedding in style with a beautiful barn celebration.
Lisa and Daniel found Curradine Barns online and fell in love with it. This delightful barn wedding venue in Worcestershire had everything they needed for the couple’s big day. “When we went to visit, we booked it there and then,” smiles Lisa. “It had a relaxed vibe and was so beautiful. The chocolate brownie they gave us sealed the deal!”

Setting the style
In keeping with the venue itself, the happy couple decided on a country themed wedding, choosing sunflowers and daisies with their vibrant yellow colour, and creating a relaxed, informal atmosphere. When it came to decorating, Lisa and Daniel got creative and made most of the decorations themselves.
“My dad cut the log centrepieces with his chainsaw and we made the blackboards using MDF and blackboard paint,” explains Lisa. “The table plan was made using my grandmother’s wooden step ladder and we used a heart-shaped punch to cut our confetti.”

All about the dress
Lisa’s stunning gown was by Essense of Australia from Georgina Scott Bridal.
“I loved it the moment I tried it on,” she smiles. “The detail at the neckline made it stand out from everything else I’d looked at.”
The beautiful bride accessorised with pearl earrings and bracelet and shoes from Irregular Choice.
To suit the summer theme and the sunflowers, Lisa’s bridesmaids wore lemon multi-way dresses from Etsy, with the flower girl in a pretty dress from Monsoon.

As for the groom…
Daniel looked the part in a tweed jacket and waistcoat hired from Duncan James in Walsall, along with brown chinos from Debenhams.

Let the celebrations begin!
Following their romantic civil ceremony, Pimm’s and canapés were served at Curradine Barns and guests were entertained by live music from Dan Greenaway and Julianne Bourne.
Moving in to dine, guests were invited to choose between a main course of beef or butternut squash. As the bride is vegetarian, a delicious non-meat main course was especially important and the in-house expert caterers, did not disappoint.
“Everyone commented on how wonderful the beef was,” says Lisa. “We love puddings and the trio of desserts – triple chocolate brownie, treacle tart and lemon tart - also went down a storm!”

Evening Celebrations
As day turned to evening, a DJ played and the happy couple took to the dancefloor to ‘Love Me Like You Do’ by Ellie Goulding, delighting their guests with a choreographed dance. Lisa also did a choreographed dance with her dad to ‘Last Night’ by Chris Anderson featuring DJ Robbie.
The Curradine Cantina served delicious wood-fired pizza and Lisa and Daniel also chose to have a beer drum as part of their drinks package.
“Aleks at Curradine Barns was fabulous,” explains Lisa. “She saw my vision and executed it fabulously. She really couldn’t have done anything more for us.”
