Living in South London, Vicky and Lalit chose the stylish venue of Morden Hall for their September celebration. They picked a chic colour scheme, great food and music to throw a spectacular party for their special day.

The Perfect Venue

Vicky and Lalit live in South London and were looking for the perfect London wedding venue for their wedding… somewhere they could throw an amazing party and enjoy exquisite food. They soon discovered Morden Hall.

“Even though the venue is in London, as it is situated in a National Trust park, it felt secluded and like we were in the middle of the countryside,” smiles Vicky.

Setting The Scene

Choosing a September wedding date, the happy couple decided on a romantic theme with an abundance of candles and flowers. They were looking for a stylish colour scheme that wasn’t too summery and loved the combination of navy and blush pink. A hint of copper was added to lend another element to this on-trend palette.

Bridal Style

The beautiful bride looked radiant in ‘Mirelle’ by Maggie Sottero, a fitted lace gown with sweetheart neckline.

“I loved that it was all lace,” explains Vicky. “I found it at a local boutique in Wimbledon. It was the second dress I tried on and I couldn’t stop smiling!”

She accessorised with diamante sandals, a diamond Tiffany necklace and a bracelet that was a wedding gift from her in-laws.

Lalit looked the part in a navy three-piece suit by DKNY while Vicky’s three bridesmaids wore navy dresses from Monsoon.

Order of The Day

Following their romantic ceremony, welcome drinks were served on the lawn alongside delicious canapés.

Moving into the spectacular Mulberry Suite to dine, Galloping Gourmet served a starter of ham hock, followed by roast rump of lamb and, for dessert, a classic Eton mess.

“All our guests are still commenting on how amazing the lamb was,” says Vicky.

As day turned to evening, the newlyweds danced their first dance to ‘The One’ by Kodaline and guests enjoyed an evening feast with wood-fired pizza and an Indian food station.

“The events team at Morden Hall were amazing,” explains Vicky. “They made sure everything ran so smoothly, even helping me when I spilt Pimm’s down my dress!”

Vicky’s Favourite Moment

“I loved the wedding breakfast - seeing all our friends getting along and having a really good time. Another stand out moment was seeing my husbands face as I walked down the stairs to begin the ceremony. As soon as I saw him, all my nerves disappeared and I just couldn’t stop smiling!”
