Recently CHWV got the opportunity to see the unveiling of the Sassi Holford 2019 ‘Enchanted’ collection, and what a night it was! Hosted by ITA Weddings in the spectacular Stationers’ Hall, the evening was a fantastic opportunity to get a first glimpse at some stunning designs, sample amazing food and drink and enjoy this incredible wedding venue in the heart of London.
We made our way to Stationers’ Hall on Thursday 1st November for the invitation-only event and were greeted in the charming cobbled courtyard with Prosecco and canapés provided by expert caterers CH&CO. To celebrate World Vegan Day, the talented chefs devised a number of mouth-watering dishes, which looked as good as they tasted. With mushroom gyoza, triple-cooked parsnip chips and Jerusalem artichoke dumplings among plenty others, we were truly spoilt for choice.
The ‘Enchanted’ theme was enhanced by the breathtaking live soundtrack provided by the Urban Soul Orchestra as we took our seats in the dramatically decorated hall. Florist Peppermint Poppy transformed the venue into a magical woodland, with towering cherry blossom trees, rustic centrepieces, a wealth of fresh flowers and candles throughout.
Olivia Parrott from ITA Weddings introduced the evening and welcomed everybody to the show and soon it was time for the main event to begin. Sassi Holford’s new designs were simply beautiful, combining elegance and enchantment to dramatic effect. The collection focused on light and texture, and seeing the uniqueness of each dress in motion gave us a real appreciation of the thought and expertise that had gone into creating each one.
As Sassi and her models closed the show to a rousing applause, the gin bar and interactive gin bar were declared open! With pink gin cocktails in hand, a breathtaking edible garden to sample and a fabulous array of expert suppliers to speak to, our night was certainly an enjoyable.
